The Oscar Contest is officially up and running! To remind you of the rules:

Our final prize-game will be to guess the most correct amount of Oscar winners. The person who picks the most amount correct will be the winner. Should there be a tie, the names of those who had the most correct amount of winners will be put into a hat, and I'll have the first unbiased person that crosses my path pick a name. The winner will receive a DVD of their choice (as long as it's available through Amazon.com) that will not exceed $20.00 USD AND a CD of their choice (as long as it's available through Amazon.com) that will not exceed $15.00 USD. This contest ends the night before the Academy Awards are announced. (Saturday, 23 February 2008 at 23:59)

PLEASE NOTE: This ends up being a two-part poll. I can't tell you how many people forget to do the second part and don't win because of it. You have been warned!!! If you haven't hit two different "Submit" buttons, then you haven't logged all your guesses!

Due to the WGA strike and the decision by the HFPA to cancel the 65th Annual Golden Globe award ceremony, the Golden Globes portion of the contest will not be held this year. Please check in after January 22, 2008 and participate in our Oscar Contest.

Very close game, everyone! After tallying all the correct answers and factoring in an extra point for those that posted the oscar_contest banner, we had a tie for first place between italyfilez and alex.

Hey Guys,
I totally owe everyone an apology for not getting the first two contests running. I'm here now and I'm going to get the Oscar Contest up and functioning before I go to bed tonight. And the contest will be BETTER THAN EVER to make up for my absence. First, there will be pictures to go along with each nominee (or most of the major ones, at least). Second...since I didn't run the Golden Globes contest, I'm going to offer both a CD and a DVD of the winner's choice (as long as it meets the rules set in the info page of this community)!!!
