The band is playing Cain's Ballroom in November, and I am looking for a few fans who can volunteer 2 hours of their time anytime this coming week to help promote the band’s online fan club and advance ticket presale.
Fans will earn INCREDIBLE free stuff for helping out.
For those of you who have been at ORU or were there, who remembers THIS little gem? That's right, it is the infamous ORU Slim Shady. I cannot remember for the life of me who actually did it, but I do know they tried to kick him out for it. I am proud to say that our floor (Dominion) was one of the primary distributors of this song when it came out. I believe it was 2001, but I cannot be sure.
Have fun and if you know any other info about it, feel free to share.
First off I would like to again thank everyone for their reply to my previous questions. Sorry I hadn't properly replied.... =/ Life has been busy and a half.
I wanted to ask ya'll about Tulsa, could someone perhaphs tell me what part of Tulsa is like the "good" part, and where it starts getting "bad"? My parental units are wondering because we are looking into hotels for college weekend.
Hi. I'm trying to decide which college to go to. I live in NY. I am either going to go to ORU or Evangel University in MO. There aren't really that many differences between the two colleges besides the fact that ORU is bigger and more expensive. Evangel has a football team and ORU doesn't, but ORU has a swimming pool and really neat PE courses. I don't know where to go and I've been praying about it for about 3 months now. Please, if you can tell me anything absolutely anything about ORU I would appreciate it. Thanks for all of your help.
So like anyone wanna give me the 411 (oh my gosh, how 1999 of me) on the dorms at ORU? Are all the dorms open to freshmen, are there some that are only for certain whatevers? I wanna get my housing contract in ASAP, and I will receive it soon. So I dunno, what are the bathrooms like, aren't there some dormrooms with bathrooms in them?
**must aquire information**
EDIT: *deleted* (Sorry just amusing myself there. Please excuse me while I stop drinking coffee, NOW.)
Mucho Gracias.
(Oh and I guess wearing chains on your jeans at ORU at all is a most likely no-no? ha.)
Well, I will be going to ORU this coming August. I can't wait!!! I just came accross this community a few weeks ago and figured I'd just post and say hi or something.
So, "hi." Or "something". Yes, that is my failing cliche attempt at being witty.
I have a few questions...
1) So um, anyone want to tell me what exactly "shower shoes" are? lol And if I need to bring them College Weekend. 2) At ORU will I be able to watch my "weekly" TV shows such as "Lost" & "One Tree Hill" or is some cable blocked or something? (Hopefully that made sense...) 3) I really want to be involved with as much as possible while there, clubs and such. What are some that they have there? 4) And also, most importantly, I would love to be able to write for ORU's student newspaper the Oracle, as well. How does one go about this?
Anyways, like I said earlier, I can't wait to come. Its always been my dream to attend ORU and God has opened up the doors for me to.
I feel that my college experience is not complete without a hippie friend. I have plenty back home, but i am afraid that there are none on campus. This is a very serious problem! If anyone could help me out here I would appreciate it. I must find a hippie so we can be friends! Well that is all, now i must go watch alias... two-hours!!!!! Incredible!
Greetings from Riga Latvia Northern/Eastern Europe. Growing up in the State of Washington, I have fond memories of Christmas time. Snow, family get togethers, cutting the Chtistmas Tree, ice skating on the frozen ponds and going out with my facter in the fire truck playing Christmas music over load speakers on top of the truck.
Now I am living in Latvia which looks very much like Washington State.
I just wanted to share that the first record of a Christmas Tree was in the city of Riga Latvia in the year 1510
