Do you need help deciding what to donate to?

Recently I made some polls that would help me figure out who can afford to donate how much. I will base the following 'categories' based on the answers I received.

Preface: This is NOT a personal budgetting guide. This is just about telling you where you can donate what you've already decided you can afford to set aside for the month / week. Furthermore, if you have to struggle to scrape by, I strongly urge you to reconsider donating. There are others who can afford to donate and you should focus on urging them to do so and sharing fundraisers with them. You should also follow this guide on a dynamic basis. I.E. if you suddenly find yourself out of a job, don't keep donating weekly just because you used to. Likewise if you suddenly score a six figures, please consider increasing the amount / frequency you donate.

If you don't want to follow this guide, don't!! If you prefer donating differently, do so. This guide is exclusively for people who aren't sure what to do and need a little bit of a system but don't know how to start making one.

PS: please do not share what category you belong to in my notes or whatever. I don't need to know.

Those who can afford to donate daily:

According to the poll there's about 9 of you who can afford to donate daily. If you can afford to donate daily, it matches up with the amount of fundraisers for individual families that I queue to post on my blog per day. Please prioritize families that are struggling with difficult healthcare issues, or families who have one or more disabled members who need expensive specialized care. You can find fundraisers to donate to on the lists linked in my pinned post. I personally think this would be helpful because it provides these families in need with that extra help they need. Look out for the fundraisers that I post daily on my blog, or alternatively if you can't pick one you can consult gazafunds, which picks a fundraiser for you if you feel you can't choose one yourself. The people who run the website vet every fundraiser listed there as well.

Those who can afford to donate weekly:

There's far more of you who can donate weekly rather than daily ~ 40-50. I think most effectively it would be best to ask you to donate to mutual aid initiatives for 2 weeks in a row, and then to alternate on the 3rd week and donate to some of the individual fundraisers, prioritarily for people who are in need of medical aid. Having a large amount of people donating to mutual aid efforts every week helps make sure that people are fed through the week and allows for a steady stream of support over time. However it also helps to have people sustain the individual fundraisers with the little extra boost they need outside of the daily donators. This is why I think alternating between both would be most help.

Those who can afford to donate monthly & less often than monthly:

This is the largest donator group and for that reason I strongly urge you to donate to mutual aid groups. Because it consolidates a small amount of donations from hundreds of people and causes the most widespread positive effect. Mutual aid initiatives reach the people who cannot advocate for themselves online and who have no means to ask for donations themselves.

like they dont have to say anything about or even vaguely allude to transfems at all but the moment somebody starts complaining about how "people are saying getting their blogs banned is murder 🙄" you can instantly write them off as a transmisogynist and i have yet to be wrong in this assessment. because they are literally always just vagueing transfems getting purged off this site who rely on mutual aid to survive

I need help bad. Idk what to say. I just im not sure if I want to keep trying. It feels like it all amounts to nothing. Im canceling dr appts bc I cant afford them. Im off my medications bc I cant afford them. I have until the 11th to save my car. My power will be off the 13th. I need food. Im exhausted. I just dont know how to keep going when for years I have tried and tried and done nothing but got sicker and sicker and therefore poorer and poorer. I don't think ive reached goal in months, years actually so i just keep drowning more. Im so tired. It feels like noone gives a fuck abt black women, abt poor women, abt disabled women, abt gay women, abt trans women. Feels like my and my wife's existence is just a joke to the universe.

Help out a disabled trans woman live for another month?

hi everyone i come begging to you again, i'm a disabled trans woman from south america struggling with extensive and very debilitating nerve damage and constant injuries and living with a cancer patient mother. i don't want to come off as seeking pity from all of you but i really need help, i had to go to the doctor a lot this last month due to injury and since we haven't been able to hit our goals for the past few months it's a very desperate situation.

just groceries alone are three times as much as minimum wage where i live, and that's not even taking into account medication for me and my mother and hrt, let alone housing. it's an extremely tense and desperate moment aggravated by the fact that whenever i go out to do anything i find myself getting harassed and shaken down by the police at best and the general situation in a country ravaged by shock doctrine.

i know things are extremely hard for all of us but anything you could spare would help me keep a roof over my head and food on my plate and i would be really grateful for all of it, no matter how big or small. thank you all for having read so far and i hope you have a good day

Black ppl in the US do not hang ourselves, that is something that was done to us way too much by nonblack ppl for us to prefer that as a way to self harm. there have been so many recent cases of Black men, women, boys, & girls coming up found lynched this year alone.

most being ruled as suicide without further investigation. but aint never been no laws or coordinated media efforts to stop hate against Black ppl, no mass organizing done by nonblack on our behalf to protect us, unprompted.

Black people in the empire and outside of it have always, ALWAYS, been the ones to force other groups to pay attention when we make noise for each other and incite action where everyone else is too cowardly & comfortable in their own locations on the axis of white centrism bc their groups not affected to the same degree, intensity, intentionality.

Black people worldwide deserve better than lip service, apathy, & performativity from white ppl and nonblack poc. we deserve so much better than a world organized by and on our exploitation, extraction, cannibalizing, imprisonment, subjugation, villainization, & murder (by intent or neglect).
