Advancing the framework for multidimensional poverty reduction

The Oxford Poverty and Human Development Initiative (OPHI) develops national and global measures for multidimensional poverty and wellbeing based on the Alkire-Foster method. This is a statistical method grounded in Amartya Sen’s Capability Approach that creates a counting-based index which can be broken down into an information platform telling us more about the nature of people’s lives.
