Back in 2006 I watched Rose and fell in love with the show by about minute ten. Since then I've kept up with the new series (and adored damn near every episode, even the s3 Dalek two-parter, which should give you an idea of the depth of my love) and watched a bunch of Old School stuff (although not enough that I'd really consider myself an expert).

I am also the sort of generally happy optimist who is determined that everything should be happy.

So I present: Why ALL the female characters in New Who make me love the show more and more every second

It's not a post about where they sucked (because they all had their moments) or which one was the best, it's basically pure, unashamed squee. Yes, you can probably guess who my favourites are, but I really am one of those weirdos who thinks all the companions (and secondary characters) are brilliant.

That's Snowglobe 7, Martha in the Mirror and The Many Hands.

They're spoilery to a degree, of course, but I've tried not to reveal the ending. Since the majority of my f'list is Doctor/Rose, I've quoted the Rose-mentions, but most of the stuff concentrates on the rest of the books.

Does anyone else out there read the books? Not many people on my f'list do (and those that do don't seem to do it as obsessively as me).
