I finally picked up Cornology ...
Time to annoy my co-workers (for whom Journey are high art)
I just bought the Rutles DVDs and watched All You Need Is Cash last night! I'm IN LOVE with it! ^^ I think I laughed a minute straight at the part where it talked about Bob Dylan influencing them with Tea! I then became very worried that the government was going to find and arrest me for my tea experimenting. You never know with governments... What're your plans for evading the government because of your tea drinking? Or have those laws been lifted since the Pre-Fab Four's time? I think I'm still going to continue in my illegal tea-drinnking ways... (shh, don't tell!)
Hopefully we can revive this community, eh?

On this day in 1978, "The Rutles: All You Need Is Cash" first aired on television.
Just so you know.

Hiya, all! My name is Caitlin and I'm a big Python/Bonzos/Neil/Beatles/Rutles/Eric/Chapman/Grimms fan.
I noticed this community is kind of-sort of dying. I'm sorry about that. I wish I'd known it better.
But here is a plug for Neil Innes' website-- www.neilinnes.org -- where we have an absolutely wonderful message board full of people who basically know Neil. I'm known there as royal_pythoness or roy, as some call me.
so... er... yes... I suppose I ought to say more about the Rutles. I've only seen the first movie, I haven't gotten 'round to the second. My favourite bit is when Nasty says "I'd like to own a squandron of tanks." Brilliant. Aaand my favourite Rutle song is probably either "Doubleback Alley" or "Goose-Step Mama".
I play guitar and piano and kazoo and I don't like country music. I'm a vegetarian, thanks to Linda and Paul McCartney.
... er... the end. thank you.
