I don't especially feel any love for any of the candidates this election, but just because I feel that way, doesn't mean I won't vote. Voting is still our right as citizens, and if everyone did it, the morons who are supposed to work for us would be ousted.

But I know, all of you are too fucking lazy to get up and vote, because that's work to you. So forever these fat-cat white boys will perpetually rule.

I understand you're angry with the regime, and desire a change. I strongly feel that you have the right to protest the current ruling in a peaceful and loud manner.

Here's what I'm pissed off about today:

A lot of people in the GTA have heard about this story, about the Mexican student who faces deportation for not winning refugee status. His story was not accepted by the judge, and his lawyer died before the case could be appealed.

Here's what makes me angry. It's not the fact that he faces deportation. It's not the fact that no one seems to care his lawyer died.

If his story is true, and shots were fired in Mexico because his sister (who is only mentioned as "his sister", and not by name) because she is a lesbian, and, in fact, if she was deported this morning, why does no one seem to care about this? If it's true, she faces certain death in her home country, and yet everyone is spending their time crying about the brother, who only faces harm by association. No one seems to care that, because she is gay, she is being shot at, that her girlfriend was shot, and that she was possibly deported already. No one cares about her name, or her story. And I'm asking: WHY?

Isn't her cause just as worthy - if not worthier - as the brother's? Isn't the fact that it's her homosexuality and not his academia that is the cause of this fear enough to make people see that, perhaps, she's the one worth protecting as well - if not more? Her girlfriend was murdered, and now she faces the same, and no one cares. No one gives a flying fuck about this at all.

And I'm asking:

WHY. IS THIS. OKAY?!

I can't believe I woke and heard these words on the radio this morning:

"It looks like H1-N1 is back."

What? Are you that stupid, you media morons? It never left; the hysteria just died down because you, as dramawhores, didn't seem to care too much about it. Now that two children have, unfortunately, succumbed to Hini in Oshawa, suddenly it's as if it was gone for a while, and now it's back?

You're stupid, media. Honestly. That fact is, the story wasn't "sensational" enough for you to report on a regular basis because no one had, in recent months, died from in locally. Now that someone has, you suddenly give a shit.

There's alot of different reasons why I'm so angry all the time. Some make sense. Some don't. Some are fleeting. Some are permanent.

I'm a sensitive person. I understand that. I also know when I'm lucky and when I'm unlucky.

Telling me I'm overreacting, or should calm down, or some other fucked up shit, is not going to help my anger, any.

I work hard. I stop working hard when it's evident that it means little.

I really hate how life works out.

I'm in a dead-end job that gives me no satisfaction or respect. So in order to change that, I look for another job.

But no one will hire me because I already have a job.

And I can't quit this job until I get a new job.

And I can't get a new job until I quit this one.

So I'm in a dead-end TWO TIMES OVER.

It gets better.

It's been suggested that I go back to school in order to increase my skills. Any time I try to contact said schools about courses I'm interested in, I get played like a fiddle in a pub full of minstrels.

And yet without this "education", I'm stuck.

Why do I feel like throwing myself off a bridge?

I'm all for adults enjoying things in the media that are designed for younger than themselves, That's cool, and allows adults to get new and interesting viewpoints and the like on things that were once looked at from one way only. It's refreshing to watch something designed for kids as an adult, because you can still enjoy it while recognising a deeper understanding in it.

But what is up with these same adults wanting to always pair these damned kids off on eachother?

Canon romance is one thing, because if it's been done on screen, it's hard to negate. But when it's done for the sake of whims or perversion or whatever, and when people get so up and angry about differing point of views, even though it really doesn't matter...

What is UP with that?

I can understand wanting to engage in such things with adult eyes, but it's pretty silly to forget the target audience. It's also silly to get so mad over something that no one can change anyways..

In short, I do not get it, and I do not WANT. Stay away from me.

You know, I think the Americans have it right when they have a set date and a certain amount of years before they can have another federal election. I really think they have it absolutely correct.

Because as a Canadian and one of the FEW voters in this country, I'm getting sick and tired of the yearly elections.

If you look back to not even a year, I also bitch about how there was going to be another election last year in order to go hand-in-hand with the American one. I wish I could say the same for this year.

What IS it with Canadian politicians? Why do they like elections so much? Why can't they wait, say, MORE THAN A YEAR before having ANOTHER one?!

There are no fucking jobs out there.

Trying to get someone to talk to me about school is becoming a thorn in my side. Trying to find a human being to speak to about the above is even harder. All I want to know is how to take the fucking Mature Student Test. Do you fucking want my money or not, you assholes?

It's probably a stupid thing, but I think I'm going to allow my dog to hold me back from moving out. I'm willing to make sacrifices for adulthood, but I'm just not ready to abandon the one creature that taught me how to love in its purest form.
