Ken spent the first half of his first day of freedom with Wolf. So it didn’t feel too different than a usual day. Which helped. He didn’t have any moments of panic or urges to throw up or pass out so … so that was a good thing. Was it normal to freak out at the thought of being free?
Once he was left on his own, he figured he would just hole up in his room. But when that got boring, he thought maybe it wouldn’t be so bad to just go and … wander. He’d never just wandered before. He heard people did it all the time!
He half expected to see guards outside his door when he stepped out. And as he started down the hall, he kept looking over his shoulder out of habit. It was going to be a hard habit to break.

Right from when Yuuri woke up, he had a bad feeling about the day. Not from some ability to sense the future, but rather a physical bad feeling. Something unpleasant was going on with his stomach. The same went for his head, but he could blame stress for that one. He'd been in this new world only for a few days, and already someone knew his secret. He really needed to get himself together.
Half tempted to just stay in bed, he had lingered longer than usual, but in the end he'd made himself get up--a decision which he found himself regretting, if only because for whatever reason, there seemed to be sweets laid out on every little table (or any surface, for that matter) he'd passed. Was this some strange custom of this world? The sweet scent made his stomach turn. He wondered if he'd be better off trying to eat something bland from the kitchens or just waiting it out. The prospect of going there alone and making a request of a maid seemed daunting... But he was walking in that direction, at any rate, one hand rested uneasily over his stomach. If only he could just prepare himself something small, like at home.

Ken woke feeling warm, and comfortable, and safe.
But mostly warm.
Oh, and crowded. Which was unusual because he slept alone. He always slept alone. Had slept alone pretty much his entire life. He could count the number of time’s he woken up with someone beside him on one hand – and most of those times hadn’t ended very well.
This conflicted with that safe feeling.
It took a minute to remember that Wolf had been with him yesterday. That Wolf had offered to stay with him through the night. He opened his eyes, and Wolf was still here, though much closer than he remembered. They must have shifted in their sleep, and the bed wasn’t that big to begin with. He tried to wiggle down or back or away without waking his friend, but the blankets were tangled. He didn’t like that feeling, and made a frustrated little sound before giving up.
Anissina was surprised fewer doubles were taking part in her invention that returned people home. But it must mean that this place was even better than their real homes. Though she wondered if they even cared about their families. Surely they had them?
In the meantime, she had drafted another storybook and was now sitting on a balcony overlooking the quiet courtyard with a pot of tea and quietly knitting. She'd have gone to bother Gwendal, but she hadn't seen him for a few days. She wondered if he was hiding from her again or if he'd gone home without saying anything. Which she would punish him severely if that were the case.

Hey all!
welcome to February and Day 99!
I wanted to do an event, but I have been to busy to plot anything out, so for day 99 the maids decided to go on a baking spree. So there's cookies and cakes and the like... EVERYWHERE. Lame, i know :/
I'm thinking for march to do some sort of flower viewing/festival thing. feel free to toss some ideas down :)

Since he'd been so diligent in keeping up with his work Yuuri decided that a day off wouldn't do any harm. However, his advisers would never agree and so Yuuris self proclaimed day off had turned into 'Sneaking around the castle to various places so he could try to relax before found' day.
But all things considered it had been a success, Yuuri had snuck from room to room, gotten food from the kitchen (thanks to a maid who promised to keep quiet) and had even taken a nice long nap. He'd thought about how nice and peaceful things had become again. Everything was so tense during Julias arrival. And how good it was to have both Wolframs home. He'd also spent a good chunk of time wondering about his new double that had arrived just the day before. She seemed so nervous, which wasn't entirely odd since this was a completely different world she'd been sucked into, but Yuuri hoped she felt a bit more at ease today.
Currently, the young king was carefully walking down the halls towards the private baths. What better way to add to his nice day then with a good, warm soak.
(Tag for Shouri since he was looking for Yuuri)
Ken was a bit sore and tired, but he felt good about it. He’d learned a lot from Jennifer today. He still had a long way to go, but it was a start, and he felt he was taking steps in the right direction. He needed a bath, but that would have to wait until later, when the risk of meeting someone in the common area was less likely.
He entered his room, and stepped on a piece a paper. The same paper he’d stepped over when he left. He stopped this time to pick it up. It was smudged with dirt from his shoe, crumpled, and folded in quarters. He couldn’t think of any reason why it should be there, other than someone had dropped their garbage outside his door. He flung it on his desk without a second thought.
Taking up one of the other Murata’s journals, he settled on his bed and began to comb through the entries. Maybe soon he should ask Anissina if she was still interested in helping him with his memories.
((For OOC Wolf.
Still tagging with IC Jennifer.))
Shouri woke up to find himself alone in the bed, which was more than a relief. He really didn't feel like dealing with his mother today and he had plenty of other things he needed to do.
First, find a new room. Second, find Yuu-chan.
The room was easy enough to find. He argued with a few soldiers until they pointed one out to him. He was a bit upset that it was nowhere near Yuuri's room, but for now it was a place he wasn't sharing with his mother, so it would do for now.
With that out of the way, he started to scour the halls, poking his head into various offices and public spaces looking for Yuuri.
(Open post, would like either one of the yuuris :D)
Bert was feeling a lot better about things. He wasn't fighting with Gisela anymore, he could go home if he wanted (though coming back was tricky), and he was having a pretty good morning work out. He was pushing some dummies over when he saw a few strangers to the field coming down. He recognized the kid at least, but they had swords and it was probably best that he beat it.
After he lifted weights for a bit, he noticed they were still working with the swords and a ways back he saw the guy that looked like Gisela's dad. At some point he figured they should have a proper chat, about Gisela, at least, but he just wanted to go take a bath.
(looking for josak :D feel free to find him bathing or en route)
Ken was awake far too early. He’d gone to bed shortly after leaving Gunter the day before, which meant a great deal of resting. Which was good. He wanted to rest. He washed up and changed in a pair of clothes before heading out. He didn’t notice the rolled parchment that had been tucked under his door and stepped right over it, nor could he find any guards in the hall (but sometimes they liked to hide, even if the need to do so had been removed). He grabbed some food (a roll) from the kitchen, and started down to the training grounds, not expecting Jennifer to be there yet. But that was fine.
He found a place to sit and wait, and hoped she would still come.
((OOC: Figured we're close enough to next month. ^_^ And LJ is being a bear >:(
For Jennifer, but post is open as well.))
