Welcome to olivia_rules! Here we worship all things Briggs, starting with our fearless leader, the one and only kick-ass Major General Olivia Armstrong! There is SO not enough Olivia love out there, so I welcome your icons, banners, colorbars, fanart, fanfic, discussion, cosplay pictures, and your general support and affirmation of Olivia's eternal awesomeness! Feel free to post an introduction in our Intro Post.

Also, being a military base with a high reputation, we have a few rules around here that everyone is expected to follow. Please read them if you don't want to end up facing the business end of the Major General's sword (passed down through the Armstrong family from generation to generation, naturally).

EDIT: We now have posting guidelines, so please give them a read as well.

BRIGGS CODE OF CONDUCT 1. NO STUPIDITY. Period. That means no wank, no whining, no flames (we leave that to a certain greenhorn, non-Führer-material Colonel). If you piss off the Major General, you end up under the ice, permanently. You have been warned. 2. USE THE LJ-CUT. It exists for a reason. If you don't know how to use it, read this before posting, please. All images should be placed behind an LJ cut, unless you are skilled in cropping and resizing. If you don't know what that is, then don't do it. Any text beyond one small paragraph should be LJ-cut. If you are brand new to LJ and don't know what that means, please visit LJ for Dummies and learn the basics before posting. 3. USE TAGS. This way people can find your stuff if they are looking for it. This is especially important in smaller comms. Here at Briggs, we do things our own way. Since there are so few fics, fanart, etc for Olivia, it would be great to collect them all here. That means you can repost your fics/art, or post links to stories/art that you have enjoyed. Using tags can ensure that anyone can access them at any time. Some example tags: fanfic, fanart, icons, ship (ex Olivia/Miles), author/artist's name, etc. If you don't know how to use tags, refer to #2. 4. DON'T POST F-LOCKED CRAP. If you don't want the whole world to see your entry, make a separate post and lock it to the community. The point is that we want to collect all the Olivia stuff in one place and create an Archive of Awesome. If you usually f-lock to your own journal or a community, please re-post the entire contents here if you would like to share it, rather than sending a link to a locked (or soon-to-be-locked) journal. 5. USE WARNINGS. Anything not in the published English manga needs a spoiler tag and spoiler warning in the subject heading, including the new anime, FMA Brotherhood. Any fic or art that is not worksafe, contains any graphic material, death of a character, etc, needs a warning. It is also polite to warn for ships. 6. NO TRASHING THE CANON. This includes the manga, the classic anime, and the new anime. If you are one of those people who likes to spend all their time hating on some aspect of the series, keep it under your fur-lined collar, please. We're here to celebrate FMA and FMA characters, not to listen to you whine about how Arakawa has a personal vendetta against you and your ship. 7. NO SHIPPING WARS. Argue about this elsewhere, please. Everyone here has different ships and genres that they enjoy. We are here to pay honor to the Snow Queen, not whine about who's sleeping with whom. In order to nip any issues of this sort in the bud, please refrain from professing your love for any ships not involving Briggs characters on this comm (this includes icon usage). 7. USE DECENT AMESTRIAN GRAMMAR. Netspeak will grant you a long walk off a short iceberg. International friends are most welcome; it's okay if your posts aren't perfect. But no intentionally poor grammar, please. We aspire to a higher level of excellence here at Briggs. Just imagine the Major General's response to "OMG-0rz, olvia totly rulez@@!!" I'm pretty sure it would end in death or dismemberment. If you think this is overly harsh, go find another army to join. 8. INCLUDE "ARMSTRONG FOR FÜHRER" IN YOUR LJ INTERESTS! Okay this one isn't a requirement. But don't you want to proclaim your Briggs affiliation to the whole world?? ^_~
