Beneath miles of crushing black water, Pelagos III sits in silence.

The station's systems hum with static life, but its crew are missing, faces wiped from logs, voices overwritten by noise. CLAiR//CORE, the station’s AI, speaks in riddles, fascinated by a signal that shouldn’t exist. The deeper you go, the less things make sense. Memories fracture. The signal wants to be heard. And the trench... wants you to listen.

Abyss//EXE is a deep-sea horror module for Mothership RPG, set in the drowned ruins of an underwater research station. Six weeks ago the station went quiet and the crew was believed to be dead. Until yesterday when a distress signal was received. Send a team to extract any salvageable equipment and if theres time, rescue any surviving crew members.

Dive deep. Don’t look back. The Trench is alive.

Designed for use with Mothership RPG, pulling inspiration from Micheal Crichton's Sphere, the film Underwater, HP Lovecraft and all the mysteries lurking in the ocean depths.

A friend ran this as a one-shot for me, and I wrote a Play Report about it. Ended up buying it afterwards, of course, to run myself in the future. Good stuff!!

Aw sick! Thanks for sharing the play report!

Ran this, earlier in the week. It was fun.

that’s awesome! I’m glad you enjoyed it!

Hello! I'd like to include this in a printed compendium of work. Are you able to send me an email? ash@long-tail.games

Played as the first Moithership adventure for an Open Table campaign. We had a lot of fun! Overall it's a good adventure and the tension rised in a neat way. I love the fact that players can say "Ok, we are out of here!" and not explore the entire base. (They did it and we had a 66% survival rate! Nice!)

First of all, thanks for making a printer friendly version; when I GM I prefer to have a physical book/zine to reference on the fly.
I just realized I would have loved to have also a static sound effect dowloadable with the adventure.

Said so, I admit that the one page format was a little restrictive for me. I would have loved a little more info here and there: a list of what are the salvageable stuff, a little more about the sirens with advices on how make them behave and mostly, a little more on the AI behaviour.

Another note: there are 6 bunk beds and 5 sirens + one "survivor", plus one dead body. Who is the surplus siren is a little unexplored mistery.

thanks so much for running the game and letting me know how it went! This adventure was originally planned as a zine format that I condensed down to fit a trifold but the full 15ish page zine is still being worked on.

Thanks again!

oooh! Nice!

I played this module for my first ever Mothership game! The players had a lot of fun obsessing over the map to figure out where to go next, and the theme of dripping water and static was really effective at communicating the horror. Would recommend!

Thanks for sharing this! Im so glad this was able to create some fun and horrific times at your table! lol

I bought the module and downloaded and noticed that the Airlock is not present on the map. What is it meant to be connected to?

Oh wow thanks for pointing that out. Its supposed to be the walkway between area 1 and 3. But I didnt mark it. Ill be updating that.
