Our first vacuum.

This wasn't really our first vacuum. We didn't own one yet. My mom went next door and borrowed this fancy dirt devil (?) that was handheld. It was small, red, and boy was it cool. I don't remember what my mom needed to vacuum. I decided I was gonna give it a whirl myself though and find out if it worked as good as my mom thought, so I marched over to the kleenex box and started shredding tissue all over the living room floor. When I was midway through vacuuming it up, my dad walked in. It was not a pretty sight. I learned then that kleenex is apparently highly valued in my family.

memories

When I moved into my current house, my parents gave me a dresser that was in the bedroom I grew up in. earlier this morning I happened to notice it still has this sticker I slapped on it as a child. A christmas wreath. My mom brought some home to put on christmas card envelopes and I used them all up "decorating" things around the house.
