Coming Back to the City

Last minute schedule change here, folks. I'm headed out of town unexpectedly, and won't get a post up this weekend. If someone wants to (I have absolutely no objections to someone subbing in!), they can go a head and post on Chapters 4 and 5, or we can pick it up next week. In the meantime, there are some really fascinating thoughts in the comments on Chapters 1-3 here, that definitely deserve some follow-up.

Here we go! Where things really get started. I'm going to do my best to go short on these chapters-- there is, of course, loads I want to say, but more than that, I think we all want to hear what everyone-everyone has to say. So totally jump in!

Hit it, guys. Introductions! Murphy! Marcone!

First week! And a bit of a trial week to see how this goes, with us tackling the two pre-novel works: the short story Restoration of Faith, and the graphic novel Welcome to the Jungle.

Although we're discussing earlier works, please remember that the possibility of spoilers for all Dresden Files works is at high alert in all of my posts and in the comments.

All right, welcome everyone! I'm super excited about this: this fandom has a great capacity for thoughtful discussion, and a lot of material to work with!

So, what do you think? I've put everything here in an effort to keep things organized and reduce the strain on and spam at mafiabanter. This community has had a few incarnations over the years, so if there's anything strange still kicking around, it's probably a ghost (ex: why is the tag list so giant?).

Any suggestions? Requests? General comments? Just want to introduce yourself? Have at it.

There is already a series timeline here. This is not meant to replace it, and will probably take advantage of all the hard work done there. This timeline is for tracking the progression of Harry Dresden and John Marcone in Chicago.
