The Oregon Country Fair

I saw this, and laughed--it reminds me of some years at the Fair!

I dunno about you guys, but this is the time of year when I really start to miss the Fair.

I mean, I think about it a lot more right before and right after, and then it kinda fades away from my mind, until some time in January, when the weather is really cold and I miss summer the most. And then I think about the Fair!

Listening to Trillian Green might've done it too.

But, yeah: It's super cold in Portland right now, and the Fair might be too hot, but right now that sounds lovely, truly...

It may be a little late, but I hope that everyone has a wonderful, safe, sane, joyful, and magical OCF 2008!

Hi all!

Does anyone know who does the amazing feather crowns up by child care? I was thinking about getting one to wear in my wedding this summer, but the wedding is before fair, so I can't wait that long! Any help would be appreciated.

Hey everybody. I'm working as a photographer for KD Magazine and one of my fellow photographers took this picture but forgot to get this woman's name. We'd like to run this photo in our coverage of the Country Fair, but without even a name, it's basically against the rules. So if anyone happens to know her name (and email or other contact information?), that'd help us out a lot. Thanks!

1. does anyone have a picture of the guys in the costumes where they were a mother with a baby and they were the baby?

2. i got involved in a bali chant circle somehow and i really liked it. where can i get more information about this?

3. what other festivals can i go to this summer on the west coast that are like the country fair?

Anyone know if it's a party scene at Zumwault? I stayed at the Darling Reunion once and hated it, I normally stay at Carefree Campground, but one of my friends loves to swim in lakes and is dead-set on staying at Zumwault this year.

I don't mind a little drumming, and/or a little beer and weed, but the people at Darling Reunion were *insane*. Mortar fireworks, empty beer bottles and cans everywhere, people up "woo!"ing all night, or wandering through our campsite obviously intoxicated on some substance or another...I seriously got next to no sleep while we were there.
