BBC Four - The Curse of Comedy
BBC Four are doing a series of programmes on famous comedy figures and well, comedy might have a curse, but is sure has a veritable cornucopia of OBA's!
The Curse of Steptoe stars Phil Davis and Jason Isaacs as, erm Steptoe and Son (Wilfrid Brambell and Harry H Corbett), also Burn Gorman and Rory Kinnear as Galton and Simpson and Roger Allam has grown a fetching moustache.
(That's Burn Gorman in the beard! He's looking away from us as if he's shy...)
Next up there's Hancock and Joan, with Ken Stott as Tony Hancock and Maxine Peake as Joan Le Mesurier, the woman he stole off his best friend, John Le Mesurier (Alex Jennings)....
Then in Hughie Green, Most Sincerely, Trevor Eve, glums up (or should that be down?) to play a severe looking Hughie Green.
Finally in Frankie Howerd: Rather You Than Me, David Walliams is Frankie Howerd.
And Rafe Spall gets to wear some natty specs.
