A Little HP Goes A Long Way!

Harry Potter Questions!!
When did you first discover Harry Potter?: I refused to read it or see any of the movies. Then kearie told me, "stop being stupid they're great." So after one week of Easter break I read 1-4 and it was amazing.
Were you hooked instantly, or did it take a while?: As soon as I read Prisoner of Azkaban
Did you instantly fall in love w/ any specific character?: ummm, not really. I loved the trio though

Favorite...

Professor: McGonagall. She's how a professor should be.
Marauder: I<3 Lupin. And probaby if he was around, James.
Gryffindor: Harry. I know it's so cliche, but the kid goes through such a range of emotions, and he's still noble and strong.
Slytherin: Craabe and Goyle. They are pretty stupid and at this point, harmless.
Hufflepuff: Cedric Diggory (prior to death). lol
Ravenclaw: Not many... maybe Roger Davies?
Character overall: uhhhh.... harry. He's just awesome.

How long did it take you to read...

The Sorcerer's Stone: About a day.
The Chamber of Secrets: About a day.
The Prizoner of Azkaban: A couple of days.
The Goblet of Fire: A couple of days.
The Order of the Pheonix: Well let's see. Got the book at midnight, read until 3. Worked from 9-7 and finished it 7 am the next morning!

If you were in Harry Potter...

What house would you be in?: Gryffindor
What would your pet be?: I would love an owl. They're so useful.
What would your wand be?: 10 in., redwood, pheonix feathers
Who would you date?: I'd like to say harry, but I'd probably end up with someone like Neville. lol
What would be your fav. subject?: I'm leaving kearie's whole answer here!Transfiguration, because McGonagall=Geraghty and Geraghty=the Best.

Other...

How did you feel about you know who dying?: Weird question. If it's talking about Sirius, I was very very upset. When I reread PoA, and there's the scene at the end where Sirius asks harry to live with him and he talks about being free, I get so upset because it never happens. He was really was Harry's only "competent" family.
What are your views on the Dark Lord?: He-Who-Should-Not-Be-Named is an asshole that needs to be finished so Harry could live a long, screwed up life.
Weasleys or Malfoys?: I HATE the Malfoys. Definitely the Weasleys. They are my favorite characters in the book (with the exception of that bastard Percy!!).

Thanks to my dearest friend kearie I am aware of my stupidity for the second time today. That post was meant for a community. Rosanne 1.9 comes with a million bugs, and we're sorry for an inconvience.

NBA Commercials

Hey, I'm new here! Did anybody by any chance see the NBA commercial where Justin is playing basketball and trash-talking to carboard cut-outs of NBA players? I saw it once and it seems like they don't play it anymore. I thought it was hysterical and I'd like to see more of it. Thanks.

Donna and I went to go see Hairspray on Wednesday and it was AWESOME! It was an all-around great day. First I went to the eye doctor and she told me I didn't have neurological problems. (That's always a plus). I picked up Donna from SJU and I drove to the city! Yes, by myself. Which wasn't MUCH of an accomplishment because I've driven to numerous Rangers games, but still, no 'rents were around to direct me and I didn't get lost! So anyway, Donna and I got there early and it was FREEZING so we stayed local for dinner. We ended up eating at Ellen's Stardust Diner, which is always fun. If you don't know it, it's a cute little place on Broadway and 51st. It kinda reminds me of Johnny Rockets, but the waiters and waitresses actually sing and dance. It's kinda touristy, but it was cheep enough and it served its purpose.

Anyway, the play was on 52nd at the Niel Simon Theater, which was absolutely beautiful. The orchestra seats have their own separate bathroom and lobby type place that isn't crowded or stuffed like most theaters. Of course, the first thing that I do when I get to a theater is read the playbill from front to back, and I found out the lead role was a Staten Islander. This was a nice suprise of course, because usually the only time you hear Staten Island mentioned is in a mob movie or something to that affect. Anyway, her name is Kathy Brier and she grew up in SI and went to Wagner (theater program of course). Now for those of you who don't know the story, here it goes.

New Client!

Yay! I finally downloaded my LJ client so I can update in my room. Anyway, I've had this in my mail box for forever so I want to get rid of it. I think it's more like, my parents "wish" I was sleeping around, Everyone thinks I have big boobs, but too big of an ass, and finally, well yah, I do talk to much.
Now that this makes absolutely no sense...

Christmas and New Years are FINALLY OVER!

There are very few people that enjoy the holiday season more than I do. However, I am confident in saying that I am glad that Christmas and New Year's are over.
Let's see ... the bash at Eddie's was A LOT of fun! I didn't get a reaction to his cat and everyone seemed to like their presents. (Even though I feel bad that Dwight already got "Stitch")
Christmas Eve, as usual, succeeded as being my favorite night of the year. I got the BEST present I've ever received, a new puppy named Jingles!! She's an absolutely beautiful beagle that is extremely well behaved and playful. I already turned into an obsessed dog-owner! Then we were off to Nana's (who made a spectacular dinner) and we exchanged gifts there also!
Christmas Day sucked. We couldn't leave the puppies (Gina and Roe got a yorkie for Christmas) so we stayed home from Long Island. There was a family argument (with my aunt) and it was like every other boring day.
We had our very CHC Christmas 2003. We continued with the girl-power movies (First Wives Club for Thanksgiving) and saw Mona Lisa Smile. It was actually pretty good, and reminded us completely of Hill. The best part about that all was Joe and Tom were there so we got in for free, and Frank was working concession stand, so we got free soda, popcorn, and skittles! After the movie, we headed over to Starbucks (But of course) and since she's really sexy, Patty treated everyone! Then it was back to my house to exchange gifts. I LOVED all my presents and I think everyone loved their CHC blankets. Finally, Mike, Danny, and Chris D. came over and hung out for a while. Overall, it was a great night. No matter what, my Coffee House Club girls make my world go 'round and I'd be lost without them.
New Years was icky as usual. My girl kearie celebrated with my family, thank God or I would have shot myself in the head. Ever since I was little, New Years was presented to me as a depressing holiday. Everyone sits around and thinks about all the people we lost and all of the resolutions that we didn't stick to from the year before. It was also pretty bad because we had like, 35 people at my house and all of the kiddies were abusing my poor puppy! So my New Year's Resolutions.... NOT do the same thing as last year (i.e., nothing). But it's the same resolution every year, and I never stick to it. I'd also like to save a lot of money and lose a lot of weight, but those never work either. I am a very very sad human being.
Oh well, like Griffo says "accentuate the positives" so I will leave this entry on a positive note. Today is Patty's Birthday, and she's 20 years old!! So in a lil while we are heading to Adam's apartment to celebrate! It was also his 25th on New Years, so I have to give him his present also. It should be a good time and I'm looking forward to it. I'm very happy that they are happy.
So 2004 is here. Yippee!

Christmas...

So it's Christmas time again. I'm really not in the Christmas-y mood yet, but I'm having fun at least.

Last night we had our little get-together with the diner crew. It turned out a lot better than expected, considering nobody made reservations and the resturant we were planning on going to was closed. Anyway, we ended up eating at Bella Vita. It was me, Frank, Reilly, Damian, Chris, Trish, Tom, Anthony, Megan, Jen, Oddo, Murph, and Griffo. Dinner was really good, and not too expensive. The best part was that there wasn't anybody in the whole place, so we could be as loud an obnoxious as we usually are. Afterwards, everyone came here to watch Christmas movies, but nobody wanted to watch "Scrooged" :(. Oh well. I enjoyed "Charlie Brown Christmas" and "Christmas Vacation".

Tonight we are going to celebrate with Donna, Ed, Dwight, and Stephanie at Ed's house. I can't wait to give them all the gifts!!
Hopefully next week we can do the whole CHC Christmas thing.

And I'm soooo excited because I found out that bethel311 and boob004 are LJ users! Maybe, just maybe, someone other than kearie will read this!

Outside the winter seems so cold
Your heart is frozen like the snow
And there's no one home, to keep you safe and warm
Your eyes are red because you cry
You fell asleep by the fire side
But there's one thing you should know
On this christmas baby, you dont have to be alone
I have only one wish on my list
For me you would be the perfect gift, oohh yeah, yeah
There's nothing colder than an empty home
And holidays were never meant to be alone

Blah

I'm sick. (Hey, that's not nice! I'm not sick in the head, I have the flu!) Anyway, this is actually one of the first days (since Monday) that I could function properly. Thank God I have an anal friend named Christina Griffo that made me do all of my Christmas shopping ridicously early.

I would like to extend a happy birthday wish to the best "big big" sister and Alpha Theta Upsilon President ever, Meg #51.

KIRSTEN a.k.a. kearie! Where are you? I know you left Virginia, but when will you be arriving on the lovely Island of Staten? We have to continue our series on "Girl Power" movies by seeing "Mona Lisa Smile" and we have to have our Very CHC Christmas Celebration. DON'T MAKE ME SEND YOU A HOWLER!

I think that's all I have to say today. To all the people that (don't) read this, Merry CHristmas!
