Northwest Para Para

What routines has everyone learned? Especially interested in seeing which ones other Portland people learned, so that it might be a bit easier to do para together and all.

Hey everyone!

I just saw this on the ParaParaMax site!!! I want to meet other people who para! To me Para isn't the kind of dance that's fun to do at home in the dark (nor is any kind of dancing ^^; ). So as an excuse I hadn't done para in a few months for that reason. But If I could meet other's and teach other's who want to learn then it would be great! (^O^)

1. THIS SATURDAY WE WILL BE DOING PARA AT PETE'S! People who are interested, mark yo calendars and comment; we need to discuss further details (or something)!

2. What I've been doing lately for para is focusing on the Para Para Paradise 1 video, one large reason being that I need to learn the game routines, anyway o-o maybe we can do learn some dances from that video to do them together... lol

3. I'm going to Sakuracon in March and am gonna promote para with a little workshop panel thing and I'm really interested in PERFORMING! I'm seeking someone who can do a para dance performance with me. I would love to have two people join me, but one's good enough if that's all I can get. The only thing I'm asking for is to be able to practice lots together, so that might not be doable for people who are too far out of town. :( Thanks!

4. Still up for Yoko Ishida on January 7th in Seattle, and I'll have para videos soon. :D

So, there's been discussion of getting a regular group going, so here's the info for what's going on this weekend!

quick question!

Does anyone have the rules for the parapara touny at illuzionz waaaayyy back in 2002? [was it 2002, or 2003? it was such along time ago] I am going to be planning a parapara touny soon, and i would like to use it as a grid, because i've never planned a parapara touny yet.

i got a hold of Derick and asked him about it, and he forgot how he did it >___<

"A New Wave Of Underground Hyper Eurodance", a label named Diskowarp.

DISKOWARP: new underground label mixing Trash/Cheap/Gameboy Punk/Electropop and Girly Hyper Eurobeat (!?!?!)

We figured we'd pick a list of routines to do right now so everybody can learn / brush up / practice / whatever, and then we'll sort out a date/time/place to get together later (maybe in a few weeks?). This will prevent what happened last time, which was people coming over to my house, everybody knowing different routines, and most people just watching me :X

Alrighty, so... I was thinking of trying to do another para para get-together thing soon, so I want to know what you Portland peeps think. This is going to be a little bit different.

1) Nicole has offered to let us do this at her house, since she has TONS of room.

2) Rather than just have a chaotic free-for-all like we did last time at my studio, I'm thinking we should pick like 3 or 4 routines like a couple weeks ahead of time for everybody to learn on their own, and then get together and do 'em. I can give everybody the videos to watch, and if you're Aelinn and you don't have a computer, I can make something you can watch on your DVD player :)
