I am just wondering, if are a stay at home parent with your child, what is your routine with them?
Long time no post! LOL. Ok, here's the deal. Samantha was very sick with bronchitis and I let her sleep with us most of the night for like 3 nights. Well now, she doesn't want to sleep in her own bed. She has been crying on and off for the past 2 hours. I've been going in and comforting her, but I feel so guilty because I'm the one who started it in the first place. Has anyone else gone through this? How long did it last? I feel like I'm on my last rope here, if anyone has a lifeline, I could sure use it.

have any of you started your child in any programs such as Waldorf or Montessori? or are you planning on it? if you have, please tell me your experiences with it!
My question is a 2 parter. Hoping you ladies can help.
1) What do you do when your kid defies you? Example-I tell Samantha it's time to brush her teeth/brush her hair/put her toys away and she says "NO!" I've tried giving her the 1,2, 3 method and then I get up and make her do it. Which always ends in her screaming and me exhausted. This has gone on for about a week.
2) What do you do when your kid gives you mixed messages? Example "I want juice!" "Ok, here's some juice!" "NO!" Then I'm like "Ok, no juice." And she's like "WANT JUICE!" Is she just tyring to get a rise out of me?
any ideas?
Any ideas what worked would help I'm at a loss at where to even start she wont sit on it for more than a few seconds...but I am tired of changing nasty diapers LOL!
Does your little one dawdle? Mine is getting into a routine of dawdling. When it's time to put on shoes/brush teeth/get into her carseat- anything she doesn't want to do, she smiles and meanders all over. In your opinion, what should my response be? Let her dawdle a little and then demand she come over? I want to teach her about respect, but at the same time, I don't want to over do it and have an attitude of "You come when I say to come!" Any ideas?

does anyone here subscribe to consumer reports? I am looking into getting a new vacuum that scores high in picking up pet hair, overall cleaning, and doesn't release to many emissions.
Price isn't an issue, my parents are going to pay for it. I have had some people recommend Dysons Animal one, but others have not. So any experience would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance!!!

Would anyone like to share their potty training experiences? Anyone having a resistant child like mine? She has a speech delay, which is doubly hard to try to explain what this whole potty experience actually is. We bought her a potty and she likes to sit on it but I have no idea where to start. I'm not a fan of forcing it on her either, which some have suggested. Any ideas?
