I'm really looking forward to this weekend.

So, I decided today was the day I started to begin the grand cleaning up of my room/office/dungeon. It's a fucking mess and I can't stand it anymore.

Tonight, I went through my CD collection. Now, I haven't touched these CDs in over a year (since getting an iPod, really).

Turns out I have two copies of Smashing Pumpkins'  "Pisces Iscariot", and Stone Temple Pilots' "Core" -- two seminal albums of the 90s (for me, at least).

I have a feeling the second copies of both of these are not actually mine. Anyone lose two CDs about ten or twelve years ago?

I went to see a Mariachi competition last night.

Seriously.

It was GREAT.

It was a nationwide competition for middle school, high school and college level. There were about 20 or 30 groups performing, and all but two hailed from Texas. One from Arizona (understandable), and one from.... Harvard?

I finally believe that I'm going to be part of a good band here in Texas. Only took a couple of years.

It doesn't really feel like the fall.

I mean.. it's halfway through October for goodness' sake.

My god I feel like shit. I'm running a fever. Broke it once, but it's back. I'm fuuuuucking bored.

I'm currently not pleased with Melissa as she came home after having a bad day and showed zero compassion for my being sick and feeling like ass, and then making me feel like I'm to blame for screwing her day up.

So, I'm fuming. And I'm bored shitless.

And I think this is kind of brilliant.

I'm posting this because:

1) I like ELO.

2) I think this is hilarious.

My cat sat down in the kitchen in front of the folding doors in front of our washer and dryer. His tail wiggled under the gap between the door and the floor behind him. His tail twitched and caught his attention. He got so surprised, that he lunged at it, did a 360, and then slammed his head in to the door and fell over.

He got back up and looked at me like nothing happened.
