STARTER CALL: its been quite a while since I've done one and while I am still viciously hoarding my drafts that I WILL get to here is a new starter call!

Because this man- this vampire- might have been a phenomenal member of the Strix. A close friend to Tristan even. Didn’t excuse the massive age difference and the matter of the man’s lethal and long bloodied history. Literal history.

“A tad vicious to my eyes and to history itself, Tristan. Even I’m familiar with the Mongols.” The long long history filled with violence. One that was written with this torture expert that seemed to have taken an interest in her daughter and vise versa. To be entirely fair she couldn’t quite blame Nina.

Pots and kettles came to mind after all given whom she was standing beside. A very blackened kitchenware it was. However, she reserved the right to hypocrisy. She didn’t have a mother aware of these things to warn her off and she might have just listened and kept her distance.

Might.

“Then I won’t be joining you for dinner. I expected an alternate version of Tristan to have far better tact.”

Her eyes drifted over him, lips parting for a soft scoff. “Certainly better manners than this.”

Because she could feel the darkness. The difference in this man. In this alternate self of the man she loved. Of the god she loved. They might have had a bit of a rough patch given the method of transition- a matter she’d cutely hold over his head to get her way from time to time, but divinity and goddesshood had become something she rather welcomed now.

It was nice to not have to be so afraid. It was nice to know she could mete out her own justice.

Afterall the merciful one was Hades- not Persephone.

“How many versions of me have you met?” She asked quietly though the even tone was crawling slowly to the edge of insult. “Many I would think if you believe you can scare me like this. You know the version of who I was just a while ago would’ve probably cowered, but I am not her. My Tristan helped bury Kore beneath the earth.”

Arms delicately folded over her chest. “And I require a bit more respect even from a man who looks like my husband.”
