Guitar for Sale

Heyas, everyone. I bought an acoustic guitar last summer thinking that I'd have time to learn to play and such, but I found out that I honestly don't have either the time or patience to learn how to play guitar. For the most part, it's stayed in its bag here at home in Kankakee. It's in near-perfect condition (I had the string that was broken on it replaced when I bought it) and has an American Queer Pride Flag on the back of it. I'm offering it, along with the bag that's in it, for $100.

If anyone is interested, IM me on AIM to let me know. I'll be in DeKalb this Friday to pick up a car that I had purchased, so I can bring the guitar along with me if necessary.

Cross-posted to the NIU Communities.

"Gaydar" tune-up?

I must have the worst "gaydar" on the planet! I just wasted an hour flirting with a guy only to learn he was straight! I could have SWORN he was gay. This happens to me all the time! Does anybody else have this problem, and does anyone know where I can go to get a "gaydar" tune-up or something? Please, share your thoughts / stories on this subject. . .

Holiday Hassles: The In's and Out's of Going Home

Holiday Hassles: The In's and Out's of Going Home:

Semester break and the holidays offer much needed rest, and often a big dose of stress ... especially for LGBT students who have to negotiate the in's and out's of the closet. If you are out on campus, but not out with your family, going home for break can mean an unwelcome trip back into the closet. Getting together with friends from home can bring similar dilemmas about whether to come out or stay in. And for those who are dating or in a relationship, the holidays can mean separation from your partner, or the pain of not having your partner welcomed in your home. Come join our discussion about these holiday hassles, and get some ideas about how to survive semester break. Holmes Student Center, Room 506. Sponsored by Prism, LGBT Resource Center, RHA/BIC

Flyers

Does anyone else feel that the flyers and posters on campus today were a poor response to the column in the Star yesterday? It just seems to me that if the best you can do is call someone a "Fuckin' Moron" in response to a bad editorial then there's a problem.

Dekalb so bad, gay guys going straight....

So I talked with a friend last night and he told me about how he has a cruch on this girl. Now this would have been dandy except for the fact that he is gay, not bisexual. Now the gay guys in dekalb can't be that aweful that decent men have to listerally jump the fence to find some companionship.

I guess I'm rather baffeled. Like I know from when I was living in dekalb last year I didn't really find many gay people to whom I could relate to on campus. Maybe this year would be better for my remaining semester? Nevertheless, if gay men are so fustrated that can't find men whom are dateable, (there are plenty of good looking gay guys so I don't mean anything by that) then we need... a picker uper.
