Who-Blink

This is cool!

So, I'm doing my semi-annual search for a life-size weeping angel statue for
ithildyn .

She wants to wake up one day, open the curtains on her french doors, and find a weeping angel staring in at her.

I want to make that happen.

So, I periodically search the web for these statues. Lots and lots of 'weeping angels' statuary.

But, not the one I'm looking for.

"This is not the statue you're looking for."

This time around, I found lifesize cardboard standees available on ebay. That won't work... Our kittens adore cardboard and would shread it to death.

That's how you kill a weeping angel! You set the kittens on it!

Back to my story... The other thing I found is a woman who made a Weeping Angel costume for Dragon-Con in 2008... This is awesome!!

If you go look, page down to the comments to see pictures of attendees reactions at Dragon-Con. Including Jewel Staite...

Work...

I just finished day 1 of 6 in a row at work... And, Friday, being a holiday, I get double time... Yay!

And, since I have company this weekend, I won't feel guilty in asking to leave early if we're dead.

And, hopefully, since it's a holiday weekend, it'll be slow.

Because, yes, I don't mind working a holiday, but [pout] I've got friends in the area!

Not to mention the season ender of Dr Who to watch! (PLEASE! No spoilers in comments, to be on the safe side!)
Iron Man: Red Attack

Convo at the apartment...

A conversation that has been brewing tonight at Casa-de-Ninith between ithildyn and I...

Ith: Tony/Tardis slash.

Nin: shut up

Ith: Tony would really love the Tardis. He'd want to see what makes it tick and give it love and...

Nin: Shut up.

Ith: Jardis would be jealous.

Nin: SHUT UP!

Then, she went off to bed, but decided to leave her room and come back to the living room, and the computer, to add:

Ith: Pepper and Martha comparing notes.

Nin: shut up!

Yes, I'm off to see if I can't write it. Stupid wench! I'm the fanpire overlord! I shouldn't be exposed to this! [pout]

I got her to watch the movie, she's fanpire'd massive amounts of people into the fandom... ergo, I'm a fanpire overload [insert maniacal, evil laughter (Can you have non-evil maniacal laughter? Sickly sweet, cute maniacal laughter, maybe?)]

I don't have much yet, except Tony yelling at the Doctor for his maintenance practices...

Driving Me Batty!

Ok... I know Torchwood is an acronym of Doctor Who...

But, I can't remember what Bad Wolf translates to...

Gah!

And, I can't find it on the 'net...

Side note: Still on the lookout for a garden statue of a weeping angel like in "Blink". Yes, Ith and I are weird, but we want one... :)

Bullet Points

- Yes, I am alive.

- Cramps bad.

- Drambuie good.

- I want to watch buff men beat each other up, getting dirty and semi naked through clothing rips. [pout] Damn, where's the Mortal Kombat TV show when you need it? (Yes, I watched that, but 80% of the time, with the sound off. I just wanted to see the pretty guys try to kill each other ;) )

- Season ender of Dr Who tomorrow! YAY! Well... and Booo! since the season ends... but, from what I've seen, there will be much fun had by all... [weg]

- This point has no meaning.

- Neither does this one.

- I better get a good answer to my customer support question. Idiot company I'm trying to get support on can't find my registration code. Of course, the webpage says 'call us', and I can't. I'm asleep during their support hours, and they're not open on weekends. Bah! I sent a query about my question to see if they can do it in email. If not, I guess I'll just force myself to stay up on Monday and call... bah!

update: Yes! They sent me my registration code. I am now officially no longer in trial status. Yay!

- Did I mention Drambuie is good? I did? Well... it is.

- I think I'm going to go play one of my new video games. Found two games I've been looking for at Hollywood Video. Xenosaga I, and Disgaia. I'm so in love with Xenosaga I, I'm seriously tempted to buy II and III right now. In fact, I still haven't touched Disgaia because of it.

- And, I ordered the strategy guide for Xenosaga I, but it was so backordered, Amazon canceled the order. [pout]. Yes, I like strategy guides. Yes, I know I can download a free walkthrough. But, the strategy guide is pretty, with pictures, and then, I won't have a pile of paper just floating around my room (Which I have now with the few walkthroughs I was able to print). Not to mention, how much my carpal tunnel would act up because I just had to fit as much as I could on a page, so I have to fiddle with the guides to make more fit on the page. Oh, and I don't have a printer capable of printing 100-400 pages for each walkthrough...

- That's one of the main reasons I'm putting off buying Xenosaga II and III. I'll want the strategy guides at the same time. That, and it would be $75 to get the games and guides... I need that money for vacation!

- Note to self: See if Playstation 2 emulators are game usable yet...

- Xenosaga is the first non-magic based RPG I've played. Instead, it's set 4000 years in the future. It's kinda fun. Especially watching how the game comes up with different things to take the place of magic and summons. Big honkin' robots, and special technology...

- I think I've talked enough... off to kick some alien butt!
