BULA!

Home! Working on catching up, and quite frankly, still working on WAKING up.

Left Fiji at 10 pm Saturday night. After a 10.5 hour flight on Most Uncomfortable Airplane Ever (Air Pacific - bad, Qantas - good), arrived at LAX at approx. 1:00 PM Saturday afternoon. Yay, International Date Line. Showered, took people to Islands, got on plane at 11 pm Saturday night. Arrived in Chicago at 5 am CST, left again at 8:30, home at 9:15 yesterday morning. Two nights on a plane resulted in maybe 5 hours of sleep total. Napped yesterday afternoon, slept ca. 8 hours last night, seriously contemplating going back to bed now...

More interesting details later. Suffice it to say, I had a GREAT time. A billion pictures to follow, as well.

And, I hope people got their postcards (or will soon), since I actually wrote and sent them this time.

Hi! In Alice Springs!

So far have:

Not lost luggage
Survived plane ride
Snorkeled at Great Barrier Reef
Held koala
Fed kangaroos & wallabies

Having an awesome time, love the scenery and the people. Tired as hell - lots of walking! Will check in later if get another internet cafe, off to dinner now. *hugs* to all!

(no subject)

My parents want to redo their bedroom since it hasn't been done in, oh, forever. So I have to get all of my junk out of my old room at that house so they can move into it while they're working on their room. It's a pain since I don't know where I'll put it here (things like "shelves" and "places to hang pictures" haven't happened yet). But, the alternative is they simply move in with ME while they redecorate. Yeah, I brought about 5 loads over tonight...

Kate, fair warning - the house is a MESS. But hey, the Good Dairy Drag Queen is open, so it balances out somehow!
