We have a big firework dispay every year here in my town and I usually go to see it, but this year I decided to give it a miss (so that I wouldnt miss the start of Merlin)
Now bearing in mind that I live about three miles away from the venue, I didnt expect to have my windows rattling in their frames from it! Not only could I hear all the music - and for people living a bit nearer, it must have been deafening, but when I stood on my front door step, I could see all the fireworks really clearly. I wish I had taken my camera out and filmed it.
