they seem to regard us much in the same way people regard ants. not as food. not as a threat. but as a creature of mild intrest that is, on the whole, a pest.
i think they would keep us in little glass cages filled with sand if they had opposable thumbs and a place to put us.
it is somehow reassuring that another creature on this earth displays the haughtiness towards humanity that we exhibit towards others.
i have always been reassured by the strangest things.

Once, the continents were a single solid mass of earth. If they broke apart in an effort to be joined with the ocean – I know how that feels.
