lastvoyages Infirmary Medical Directives!
You can comment here and handwave these requests being made to Ulla or another member of the staff, or toss your characters her way anytime.
(I will also be going back and adding all the responses from Ulla's previous in-character requests for medical needs/directives, but that may take me a little while.)
A few possible directive ideas and examples:
Never use magic on my character.
Use whatever method will heal quickest (usually magic, let's be real).
Do not treat my character at all if they are unable to give consent in the moment.
Contact [Person X] if my character is brought in incapacitated.
My character has a zombie virus, so watch out for bodily fluids or for biting if she dies.
My nonhuman character has [X special health need].
My character wants to be healed with/without scars.
My character has cybernetic parts/implants and healers should call in cybernetics.
My character wants to be treated somewhere other than the infirmary.
Bonus info:
My character is a healer/doctor and would let the infirmary know to call on them if needed.

Steven Grant
Steven also has politely requested regular refills of prescription anxiety/panic attack medication.
Staff Memos
Re: Staff Memos
An extensively detailed account of Zerxus's healing magic
Lay on Hands: The quickest, easiest, and most abundant; he can heal
100 hpa lot of minor wounds/several grievous ones each day, as long as he can touch the person. A portion of this can be used to try healing a poison or disease. Known limitations are undead and robotic patients. (He notes here that the Mending cantrip might be helpful, but he hasn't tried it.)Cleansing Touch: If the problem is magical in nature, he can try to end any spell cast on a willing person ten times a day.
Everything else will need his voice and hands free, and he has to have prepared them the night before.
Remove Curse: A more powerful spell focused on curses specifically, that he can use up to three times a day. Might work on a different world's curses and might not.
Cure Wounds: How powerful this is depends on the level of the spell, and the same restrictions apply. At the lowest level he can do this four times; at the highest, two.
Detect Poison and Disease: What it says on the tin; up to four times a day he can sense where they are and what they are. (Assuming an equivalent exists in Exandria; otherwise he'll just be like "...feels bad, someone look into that.")
Lesser Restoration: Up to three times a day he can try to cure a single disease; temporary blindness, deafness, and paralysis; any kind of poisoning.
Revivify: If resurrection gets fucked up again, and he can get to a body within a minute, he can bring them back to life. He can only do this three times a day, and it requires a diamond.
Raise Dead: This can be done within a week, but it requires an hour to cast and a more expensive diamond. He can do it twice a day at most, and it causes the equivalent of a Death Toll.
- He's immune to disease, fire, and poison, so he can treat certain patients without worry.
- His paladin aura gives every ally within thirty feet of him a boost in skill, resistance, and reflexes.

Staff Memo - Medical Inventory/Equipment Requests
General Order of Procurement is As Follows:
- 1. A sample selection, instructions and other medical knowledge information will be obtained.
- 2. These will be available to staff and supervisors to read and make use of within the infirmary.
- 3. Further supply will be maintained if they are a beneficial addition or option.
- 4. Any supply and equipment ordered in this fashion is the property of the infirmary and under management of the inventory supervisor. Inform immediately if it is lost, broken or stolen.
- 5. Depending on the risk level of the requested samples and knowledge, further restrictions may apply.
- 6. Specialized supplies and samples are always in limited quantity and may not be available for reordering in times of emergency.
Dr. Clement Varker
And while it is more a general warning and request, he feels this is the best place to put this, but making requests of the Admiral or doing things that will physically alter his body without his consent will end in the death of any sort of relationship you ever had or wish to have with him, thank you.
John Doe
That said, he's got VERY good heals on tap if needed. Please call if that would be helpful.
Wiktor Szulski
- would prefer to avoid the infirmary itself if possible or leave as soon as possible
Guess who's been to a lot of 1900s medical facilities and has the twitch from it?- medical decisions, if he is unconscious, are left to Abaurycy
- Lucifer (his inmate) has access to him at all times and in all instances
- does not care about mundane or magical healing
- has minor healing abilities for others and significant healing for himself; should not be prioritized in an active situation and he's conscious.
Vincent Smith
- 99% normal human but might interact with magic oddly especially around the eyes
- has a mark from Kahl on his shoulder don't fuck with it please.
- doesn't care about anything else, really
added note in Ulla's handwriting
Saga Anderson
- has medical training, however
- heals incredibly quickly during narratively appropriate moments from ridiculous things (essentially has anime bandages only with tylenol)
Trevor Belmont
DNR.
Thrawn
Princess Donut
-Tell Carl, her Person
-She is a magic cat, so she has a Cockroach spell. If it looks like she's been killed, wait a few minutes before attempting resurrection

Yelena Belova
-She does not consent to any medical information being shared with anyone other than B outside of the direct care team. Again, authority does not pass to any other warden, even if B is unavailable or their pairing is nullified.
-She's willing to be treated in the infirmary for injury or illness, but should not be kept there for the duration of a coma or death toll; please return her to her cabin immediately in either of those cases.
She does have some training as a field medic, and can be called on in emergency situations, particularly for search and rescue operations.
Madelyne Pryor
- Treat her somewhere other than the infirmary; if this leads to her death it's fine.
- Contacts: Cho Edwin Buck, Cho Jedao, John Doe, Vincent Smith
- Capable of basic first aid, healing magic, and telepathic anesthesia.
Hanna Falk Cross
Magic and mundane healing shouldn't be done without his consent unless administered by Sokie Undertown.
These details are subject to change, with a side note that states removing his clothes in a public setting is grounds for punching, please keep his shirt on unless absolutely necessary.
Zerxus Ilerez
- Fine with any kind of healing, but notes that it may be difficult to operate with mundane tools. Would prefer to leave scarring as it is, but it's not a top priority.
- Runs much hotter than a human; he's not feverish, and probably can't be. Uncertain how his anatomy would affect medical instruments, and wouldn't mind testing that out if needed.
- Doesn't require food or drink.
Will Graham
-Use whatever method will heal the fastest.
-Please do not heal over any of these scars: (list of scars from canon)
-He is a lycanthrope and can heal himself faster than a normal human. If it's just cuts and bruises and someone is in greater need, skip past him.
no subject
-And no scars
-This is also true if he's unconcious/incapacitated
-If he's in stasis (he refuses to call it a coma) he would prefer to be in his room
-If he's injured/incapacitated/pending death toll he would prefer to be in the infirmary where they can do thorough pain management.
no subject
-but he's not super keen on institutional medical settings and there's probably enough public information to guess that
-and he will probably be pissed if anyone from the infirmary touches him at all while he's dead/unconscious/unresponsive, but he's unhelpfully not going to tell anyone that despite being specifically prompted to do so in order to avoid exactly that sort of situation
-also, aspirin is catastrophically toxic to him in a fatal way and he's not going to tell anyone about that either
tfw your character is just very dedicated to being difficult. (info here mostly so that infirmary players can have a head's up if they'd like to avoid negative CR with the Eleven just for doing their damn job as best they can with the total lack of information he gave them)
Sameen Shaw
Beyond that - no unusual health needs or preexisting conditions.
Re: Sameen Shaw
Ulla also made a note based on previous conversations that if magic is required, Shaw should either be not fully healed (start the process and leave her body to finish once she's out of immediate danger), or that scars should be left so it's not as if the injury never happened.
Re: Sameen Shaw
Sha Gojyo
- Let Cho Hakkai and Armand know if he's brought in incapacitated, and, added in brackets: (Make sure they both understand I'm okay. Thanks!)
- He wouldn't think to include it because why would he want to keep any scars, but Ulla already knows he didn't object to having his arm perfectly healed that once
- He knows basic first aid and can stitch a wound; he can lend a hand if they're severely understaffed in a crisis?
no subject
- he hates the infirmary with the passion of a thousand suns, so if possible, don't take him there. If he's unconscious in a life-threatening manner, please do
- generally, he prefers non-magic healing (Ulla can probably wiggle a pass on it, in more severe cases)
- if in a coma, please deliver to Laura's room and notify Maggie
- side note: he upkeeps the magic transport gateways to the infirmary
no subject
- Please heal him he doesn't like pain
- Refuses to donate blood, since he's like 5% alien blood and doesn't want to spread that at all.
ALSO, any rewound version of himself is going to have the Decima virus. Not that anyone can do anything about it currently, but he'll be mindful of letting the infirmary team know if he suspects there's a sample back in action.
Jinx

Ashton Carver
• If Ulla is not available, locate Aerith Gainsborough or John Doe
• Undead; body will naturally regenerate from injuries over the span of days, but can manually activate intensive regeneration to recover from nearly any would
• As a walking corpse, non-magical medical aid is functionally pointless
• Harmed by crosses. May be harmed by radiant / divine magic
