Drabble: 'Hunger'
Just a little drabble. Darker than anything I've written lately, but nowhere NEAR the stuff I wrote in HP.
*****
Title: Hunger
Author: Never
Pairing: Kirk/Spock
Rating: PG-13?
Disclaimer: So not mine.
Warning: AU. Kinda dark. Light spoilers for the movie.
Summary: See Author’s Notes. Pretty self explanatory.
Author’s Notes: So, Zachary Quinto did an AWESOME job as Spock. But there were a few moments when I thought: “It’s Sylar! Run for your lives! He’s going to cut open your brain with his MIND!" …And this resulted from that.
***
It’s been centuries since he’s felt this way. Thanks to the Vulcan way of life, he has managed to suppress everything. His powers. His memories. His hunger. It’s been a lonely road of self control, but he’s managed.
But from the moment James T. Kirk draws attention to himself by beating the Kobayashi Maru, it all comes back. Each and every impulse is screaming with the need to take Kirk. Rip him apart. Discover how he works. Devour him completely. And maybe, after Kirk is completely, irreparably a part of Spock – unequivocally his – he might put Kirk back together.
The desire is overwhelming.
It takes every bit of will power he possesses to hold back. To nerve pinch Kirk instead of throw him against the wall with a thought. To maroon him instead of cut him open with a small movement of fingers. Yes, better to remove temptation. To keep control and not give in to his baser self.
But then Kirk gets back on the ship, and it’s even harder to resist when Kirk’s eyes are flashing with determination and just a little bit of anger.
Only the feel of Kirk’s throat beneath Spock’s fingers is keeping his powers in check. The subtle vibrations of Kirk’s pulse point thunder up Spock’s arms…and that is enough to satisfy.
Kirk’s face is red. Purple. Blue.
And suddenly, Spock can release him. Because he doesn’t want Kirk dead; that would be such a waste. No, Spock just wants Kirk.
He removes himself from the bridge in order to reestablish his impassive mask. Remind himself that he’s not Sylar anymore. He’s Spock.
And he has finally found his companion.
