There is this student, his name is James.
James is generally a nice guy, but has the best sense of humor. He is a guy who wants everyone to be happy.
One night, he was invited to a party with nothing illegal occuring. Save for one thing. A group of self-invited potential party crashers, named Justin, Alex, and Rob, plant EX in someones drink. This drink belongs to Lisa, a good friend of James. Rumors have circulated that they should get together, but thats not important. So she takes a drink, and of course she eventually starts acting differently. Justin, Alex, and Rob are waiting for their time to strike. Lisa bumps into James, pauses a moment, then hugs him with no intention of letting go.
"What is your problem, Lisa?" James asked. She just chuckles and continues hugging. He takes her drink from her hand and looks at it, then looks at Justin, whom has a guilty expression on his face. He pryed Lisa off of him and sat her down, then approached them.
"What did you put in here, Justin?" He asked. Justin painted an angry scowl on his face.
"Nothing." He answered. James grabs his throat. Alex and Rob back away.
"Nothing doesn't do that," he points at Lisa, who is looking at her hands and laughing, "to people." His grip intensifies. "So what did you put in here, Justin? Alex? Rob? Anybody?" Nobody said anything. James pours the drink on Justin and drops him, then gets in his face.
"Give me your keys." He said.
"Fuck no, I ain't giving you my-" Justin was cut off when James grabbed his shirt and pulled him closer. Justin said nothing afterwards, and he handed him the keys to his car. He threw him back on the ground and walked off. He threw Lisa over his should and walked out.
"Wee!" She exclaimed. James press the panic button and found Justin's car, placed Lisa in the passenger seat, then got in himself. He started it up and noticed that the tank was nearly empty. He sighs and drives off. Justin, Alex, and Rob walk out and flick him off.
James stops at an intersection, it being 1 am on a Saturday, there isn't many cars on the suburbian roads. He decides whether to bring her home or not. He places his hand on her forehead then made his decision. He made his way to his own place. His parents aren't home, so that gives him an incentive. Also, its closer. He unlocks the door and walks to the bathroom with Lisa in his arms, she's mumbling now. He sets her on the toilet, and cranks up the cold water on the shower and places her in there, clothes and all. After a few minutes, her English starts clearing up, and then she finally feels the cold. She screams and James rushes in with a big dry towel. She jumps out and into the towel.
"Where am I?" She asks.
"My place. You have to take your clothes off." He said as he left the towel and the room. He waits outside. She opens the door with only a towel covering her. He lead her to his room and got her a glass of water. She drank it down in 2 seconds flat. She was still shivering. He tucks her in and she immediatly dozes off. He leaves his room and drys off her clothes. About an hour later she wakes up with cold sweats, and James just walked in with her dry clothes.
"Did I wake you?" He asks. She shakes her head, she tries to speak but her mouth is too dry. James hands her a bottle of water. She drank most of it before she threw it up. She starts crying.
"It's okay, I'll clean it up later, just take small sips." He said as he got another bottle. She stopped crying. Then she sat up.
"Why are you doing this for me?" She asked him.
"Why not? Its the least I can do." He answered. She stared at her clothes.
"Who did this to me?" She asked. He shook his head.
"Justin, Alex, and Rob. Don't worry, though. They won't do it again." He replied. She was still looking at her clothes.
"Want to change?" He asked, she nodded, and he left the room. He waited outside, and she came out.
"Now what?" She asks. He starts towards the front door.
"You're going home, and I have to return the car." He said. She followed closly.
They arrived at her home around 2:30. James left the car running.
"Would your parents be asleep by now?" He asked. She nods, "They have to work early tomorrow." James looks at her.
"Lisa, regardless of what happened, all of this was beyond your control. Therefore, it can't be your fault. If anything, you should blame me for not jumping in sooner." He said, she told him to shush.
"If I'm going to blame anyone, its not you." She says. She opens the door and head for her front door. He follows.
"Do you want me to help?" He asked.
"How?" She asks. James shrugs. She used her house keys, and tip-toed in and found that her parents and sister were fast asleep. She told James "thank you" and he left. She got into her room and quickly changed into her clothes and jumped in bed. She fell fast asleep as soon as her head hit the pillow. Her mother awoke and checked on her, she smiled. She looked at the wall with the moving headlights and she looked out the window and saw James pull out.
"Turning around." She supposed. She went back to bed.
He went to a gas station and filled the car up before returning back to the party. Justin was waiting for him. James exits the car and tosses him his keys.
"Gave her a full tank." He said. Justin looked at him and asked, "What?" He didn't answer and went inside. He told everyone to drink from cans and bottles only for the rest of their lives. The rest of the party went well. He left with his two good frinds: Scott and Joe. They went to a restaruant at 4 am and left around 6 am. They had a good time, with James still cracking his famous jokes left and right. As they were leaving, they were faced with dilemma: Who was going to drive?
"I'm to tired to drive, man." Joe said, "You wanna drive my car, Scott?"
"Man, I can barely see right now." Scott replied. Joe looked at James and looked closer.
"Why aren't your eyes blood shot?" Joe asked. James chuckled.
"Probably the same reason why I'm not tired." He answered. Simply put, he dropped off Scott first, then dropped Joe off. He tossed him the keys.
"No man, keep it for now, I'll pick it later today." Joe said. James shook his head.
"No, I'll walk home. I need to think of a few things." He said. Joe gave up convincing him and went inside. James thought about Lisa on the way home. He turned down his street and heard a car engine behind him. He glanced back to see Justin's car pulling up next to him. He rolled down all his windows.
"I'm going to kill you for that, James!" He screamed.
"For what? Saving a girls virginity?" He chuckled back, thinking his threats are empty.
"Call it what you want!" He pull out a gun and shot him four times. James drops to the ground, he was hit once in the shoulder, once in the chest, one in his leg, and the other one missed. Justin freaks out and floors it away. James crawled the rest of the distance home. He managed to get to his house and ring the doorbell. He then dropped.
He died on his door step.
His mother answered the door and saw her dead son bleeding on the front of her house. Only few heard her scream of terror.
James died doing what he felt was right.
