I agree on both these points. It goes to show that some Americans truly only have compassion for other Americans. They will donate tens of thousands of dollars to an American woman who lost her job for standing up for what's right, but apparently they don't actually register that what Arianna stood up for is the right of Palestinians to live their lives free from Zionist occupation, starvation, and genocide!

They don't register that their donations would be much more effective and useful in supporting Arianna's cause if they donated to Palestinian orgs or Palestinians directly.
Of course, Arianna is a smart person with a conscience, so she has already pledged to share the donated money with Palestinian families.

If you were moved by Arianna's principled attitude and solidarity or the way these incredibly talented Palestinian artists showed their gratitude to her, please consider donating to a grassroots aid org in Gaza, like the Sameer Project, Ele Elna Elak, or the Gaza Municipality.

It's still crazy that Anita Sarkeesian did some pretty basic Feminism 101 videos about things like "It's bad when a woman only exists in a narrative so her death can serve as a man's motivation" yet gamers act like she's some sort of Radical Feminist Satan.

And to be clear, me calling it Feminism 101 isn't a dig against her. Her videos were meant to be introductory pieces to feminist analysis and that's perfectly fine. That's what makes it crazier that people act like she killed their grandma or something.
