Hi everyone,
Question, what kind of rinse do you use on your hair? ACV, Honey, Tea, etc.? Any recomendations for taming frizziness or generally smoothing hair?
Right now i use shampoo bars from Chagrin Valley which my hair is loving. I also follow with an ACV rinse of 1 tbsp of ACV to 12 ounces of water. More ACV makes more frizz, but no ACV makes for tangle city.
My hair is fine and of normal thickness if that makes any difference.

curious
I want to go conditioner only, or at least give it a try. I don't think my hair or I could handle no-poo altogether, so I'm going to start with this as soon as my shampoo runs out.
Um...but I can't figure out how to get started! Help?
i found and bought a beautiful antique brass brush and mirror recently, and i realized when i got it that i had no idea what the bristles of the brush are made from, or how to sanitize it before use. i don't use ammonia or bleach at my house, but i need to make sure this brush is clean before i start using it.
The bristles look and feel something near to boar-bristle, except that they are clear-ish in nature and slightly stiffer. i assume it's some form of synthetic, but i'm completely unsure here because they look like no bristles i've ever seen before.
At any rate, they seem to feel nice, and i'd like to try using the brush in addition to my usual boar-bristle one. How do i sanitize my new/antique brush?
Thank you for your help! :)

Hello all!
I was wondering if anyone knows of any natural ways to counteract the red/brassy colour in blondes?? I have been working on going back to blonde the past two weeks...I know it's far from natural to strip/bleach/"die" but well, I got really tired of browns and reds. Anyway, my hair still has some yellow/orange to it but I don't want to do another chemical lightening until the hair has had sometime to recover, most likely another month or two. I don't use shampoo or conditioner except after a chemical process like this, and only put oils and cornstarch in it if I want some other texture. I plan on coating my tresses in lemon juice whenever I know I will be spending a good amount of time outside but am wondering if tehre is any sort of home remedy, like a mask of some sort that would lift the unwanted colours... I have tried a baking soda and water wash in the past and noticed some lightening effects, but am not sure if that would still be too harsh??? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Hope this all makes sense...I'm still waking up.
Since my last post I stopped using the shampoo bars and switched to Giovanni's Tea Tree Triple Treat Shampoo. So far so good. I have a lot of frizziness but I'm going to blame that on the weather.
I ordered from Oyin May 5th and still haven't received my order. I've e-mailed them twice last week and it is getting really close to the 45 day dead line. I think I'm going to send them one more e-mail and then I'm going to have to file with paypal. I really wanted to try the conditioner too!
