RP as therapy

bad_rpers_suck I was about ready to dismiss the idea of RP as therapy out of hand until it occurred to me that I have seen it happen. ( Read more... )
None of which is the RaceFail 2009 post I’ve been meaning to write but once my brain has kicked into gear I’m going to have something to say on the topic of dismissing the evidence because it’s a highly favoured academic tactic which illustrates one of the major problems with epistemic communities.
In other news, I have two DreamWidth invite codes to hand if anybody wants one.

I’d seen mention of an official psychological profile for Topher earlier but since I’d started writing my analysis based entirely on the TV episodes I decided to leave it alone until I’d finished.

kintail.I preface this by stating that I know there are many and more serious things that don’t make sense about Dollhouse, not least of which is the fact that it’s sci-fi lite but for the sake of this exercise I’m going to pick at details anyway. The larger issues are also far too aggravating and linked to issues of race and gender to make them even remotely entertaining to write about after all. So instead I’m going to fixate on some minor details: once such detail being Topher Brink.

Small rant on the topic of belly-dancing
May. 12th, 2009 03:31 pmSince I’m not at work today I took the time to watch some daytime TV to pass the time and came across a channel showing some introduction to belly-dancing program. I’d missed most of it and just caught the wind down section where the dancer was stretching but even that ended up being enough to annoy me.
