Hama-chan!
He was wearing jeans and a plain black t-shirt and looked reeaaalllllyy good! Some people just can turn off their 'aura' and you wouldn't even recognize them (Tsubasa for example. A god among men on stage, just some dude at the hand-shake event after the show). Evidently Hama-chan has idol-face all the time. Hehe, go go Hama-chan!
Finally, I ran into someone that isn't Arimoto-kun! I'm moving up in the world!
Internet again!
Right now I'm just going to make a list about stuff I want to post about so I don't forget:
1) 5 Kansai Jrs concerts in THREE DAYS. I had a damn good Golden Week.
2) Elle moving out of Osaka soon? More likely than you think!
Sayonara Parties are fun but sad :(
Last night was Rebecca's Sayonara Party. I still can't believe she's going back to the US and getting MARRIED. It seems like she just got here! It's going to be really hard without her here. I have lots of friends but we've been friends since I started university and we even lived together for awhile. I'm really going to miss having such a close friend from back home so near. :( I guess this is just what happens when you live in a foreign country though.
I have tomorrow off to transfer my visa over to my new passport and update my gaijin info and get my new insurance info. Busy, busy! But that just means I only work 3 days this week and then it's GOLDEN WEEK YAAAAY!
Congrats Matsuken and Koyuki!
And they are 8 years apart.
So are Shige and I.
I guess I can justify my fangirling now!
Damn you Baby!
Black and white vertical stripes are totally my THANG, yo!
What do I do...........!?
And this is totally cute too! And I could totally wear that just to dress up a bit.
Kansai Jrs. in Kobe 4/16
I haven't been to any of the other shows during this tour but my friends have gone to Hiroshima and Kagawa and evidently a lot of people were missing and those shows! For example, there were only 12 members in total at Kagawa! And then finally, for this show, everyone was there EXCEPT Daichi! I really wonder if he's ok. Johnny's hasn't erased his existence from anything so obviously he's still in the company but I worry that he got hurt or something. The Daichi fangirl in front of us started crying when during the first song we all realized that there was no Daichi and her friends had to support her to keep standing up. Poor girl!! Emm was really upset too, of course. Damn you JE!!!! They never even mentioned that he was missing/what happened so of course people freak out and begin to theorize the worst. GAAAAAAAAAH STUIPD JE!! But I'm going to save the rest of this rant for people who want to bitch about the jimusho with me.
The set list wasn't so different from when I saw them back in January but it was so depressing that they had Hama-chan do BOTH Stay Gold and Give Me by himself! He tried to hard but it was still just so sad to watch. Stay Gold happened earlier and they had done it at previous shows on the tour without Daichi as well. But when they announced that the next song was Give Me you could pretty much hear the audience gasp and cringe in horror!
Apart from that the show was great! We had seats down in the arena fairly close to the center stage so it was pretty damn awesome. Especially for me since we apparently were in Shige-land. I think he waved at me 3 times during the show and the final time he also returned a kiss I blew at him<3<3<3<3<3<3 And I know those were all for me because I didn't see any other Shige fans in my area and even if there was they weren't crazy foreigners in gold sequined jackets (bathroom runs before the show confirmed that you could see our flashy clothes from across the damn building).
Couldn't tell if big Big Muro saw me at all but he must have since I had a light up uchiwa for him. :( Shige needs to stop giving me more love than my tanto because this could get dangerous. Also, he needs to stop dancing so sexy during that one good Hey! Say! Jump song they cover. I seriously was having problems.
So, back to my amazing uchiwa though. Check this out! ------>
Pretty awesome shit, right? We can't use them at the Shochikuza evidently but we can use them at OJ Hall and other bigger venues without any problem (knock on wood). The first picture is actually from before I ran the EL wire through and added RHINESTONES. But it gives a general idea.
Oh and my Shige one looks like something Liza Frank designed so I'll just toss it up here because I love it.
It's totally cute, right? I want to make Shige a light up one soon-ish. But I'll have to just do SHIGE in hiragana because otherwise I think it would be both financially and physically impossible to do.
Other notes about the concert:
1. Kotaki totally got a view down Emm's shirt when he came by on the torokko. Bet he enjoyed that :D Emm said he better damn report how good it was back to Daichi.
2. No one knocked over the chairs during SOS.
3. Kami-chan has bad luck with hats.
4. The girl who was crying about Daichi not being there caught Mukai Koji's signball and I was so happy for her!
5. We made friends with a Big Muro fangirl who looks like the Takarazuka Otokoyaku version of him. It was pretty awesome. And she gave us throat drops after the show.
6. I think I creeped out Tatsuta when I yelled his name. Whoops! He's going to have to get used to people yelling his name since he's so awesome. I'm just helping you get acclimated to your job, Little Gangs!
7. Hama-chan looks good in stuff with English printed on it according to Junta. English just 似合うs him for some reason.
8. That gold-sequined jacket is too damn hot! I need to get something else attention catching before the OJ Hall shows during golden week! My jacket needs to be retired for the warmer months.
9. Akito is made out of pure charisma but y'all knew that.
10. Reiya needs to change his hair back to his awesome side-swept bangs thing he had going on. Yukito's new hair cut, on the other hand, is adorable. Arimoto has like, Snape hair and it is not good.
I can't WAIT for Golden Week because I am going to ALL FIVE SHOWS. OMG it's going to be the best week of my life. I think my future wedding is not even going to top this. I just hope Daichi's there.
Wow! Hockey in Japan!
The Japanese play a really clean version of hockey! I think there were two penalties total. I came in at the end of the fist period so maybe I missed some.
I wanna go see some live hockey now! :( Too bad there are like, 3 pro teams in Japan and they all are of course way up in northern Japan. POUT!
I HAVE A GIRLY CRUSH ON 001N!
I'm gonna get a new phone, just for me!♪
Ok, enough with the sing-song-y hijinks.
I got a phone from the Softbank Color Life line..... and my disappointment in it grew and grew with every week of ownership... Compared to the phone I had had before (a Funfan) it just wasn't as nice. I almost wanted to just start using my old phone again but I had traded up(?) because some things were beginning to no longer be compatible with it.
I foolishly thought I should just get a cheaper phone and save money......... I soon realized that for someone who uses their keitai as religiously as I do I did not have a phone that worked for me. It couldn't do a lot of things that I was used to doing on my old phone even though it was brand new. And though it sounds silly, I wasn't in love with my phone. My first phone I got when I moved I saw online before I even had a job lined up here and I had decided that IT WAS MY PHONE AND I WOULD HAVE IT NO MATTER WHAT.
So, I am going to have a phone I love soon. It's a bit of a waste of money with the money I still owe for my current phone but with the points I have built up with Softbank it isn't that big a deal and hey, I learned a valuable lesson about phone buying.
Soon I am going to have this pretty little phone in pink! The pink one has a light up heart when your phone rings! The other colors just have stars I think... I like the white one okay but HEART!♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
My love affair with this phone started fangirly and hyper like this and in 3 parts: I saw a girl with this phone on the train with the rainbow keypad a few months ago and I was like OMG WAAAANT. Then I found out it was a Softbank phone and I was like SCOOOOOOOOOOOOORE!!!! Then I remembered I had just gotten a stupid cheap phone and I was like DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMNNNIIIIT
Anyway, I am happy to be getting a phone that I am excited about. Softbank! Hurry and get my beloved to me!! Darn popular colors not being in stock...
Kansai Juniors at OJ Hall 1/2 & 1/3
I'll try to use a few more words in case you don't speak spastic fangirl.
For the first show we were in the 10th row and directly stage left pretty much. We could see people running up and down the stairs behind the stage between songs if that gives you an idea of the kind of view we had. The second day we were on the back, left corner in the 3rd row. Even better!
First of all, the set list was AMAZING. It was a really high energy show. Only a few shortened ballads here and there to keep me from hyperventilating. The only regular song that I really felt was missing was Big Game. Oh well, I'll probably get to hear it on the nation-wide tour.
Nation-wide tour, you ask? That's RIGHT! That is what I said! At the end of first show they announced that they had been given a national tour! I am so happy and excited for them! I'm willing to travel distances for Kanju that I didn't realize I was prepared to commit to! I haven't gone further than Kyoto for a show yet but I think I'd go to even Hokkaido to support Kanju (plus I haven't been to Hokkaido, BONUS). I'm guessing it will probably only be something like Tokyo/Nagoya/Osaka but hey, that will keep me from bankrupting myself.
Anyway, I digress (are you surprised?)
Let's see... highlights that stick with me are as follows in a sort of list haha.
1) Hot Spanish-flavored medley complete with fedoras. Andalusia ni Akogarette and an awesome version of Kichu are what really stick in my mind from this.
2) Akito did Monster again with the black-light gloves! Awesome but I was worried the flame bursts would set a ghost (or a chibiko) on fire!
3) Richard and Ota came by a lot! Ota finally taught me the Stay Gold dance and Richard was Richard and made every dance look so easy. I love that kid. He saw us and was kinda like, "Hey, 'sup?"
4) Big Muro kept passing me by both days so that was kinda frowny face. Hama-chan too but that's normal. But I was wearing a gold-sequined jacket! I thought it was pretty eye-catching, but I guess not enough. Oh well, next time! I've gotten to shake their hands at the Shochikuza (Big Muro's twice!) so they know I exist haha.
Perhaps most importantly, it was the debut of my Shigeoka uchiwa (since he's finally 18 and it's not creepy to think he's hot anymore). On the first day he spotted me towards the end and his face just lit up (he has said in interviews that he akogare's gaikokujin and I guess he wasn't lying). He waved happily and then went off down the catwalk. On the second day I thought he was going to miss me since he barely came our way but he finally saw me and flipped out and kept waving and almost knocked Marcy off the catwalk. Oops. I'm pretty sure he recognizes us from before but this is the first time anyone in our group has had an uchiwa for him. Anyway, he was really happy and it made me even happier.
5) Speaking of Marcy, he gave Alyson lots of kissies! It was very, very cute. :D I was so happy for her!
6) Not really a highlight but Daichi fell out of sight when a trap door opened up beneath him towards the end of Stay Gold the second day. He didn't come back out until almost the end of the MC almost half an hour later. We're guessing he smacked his head (he fell BACKWARDS!) and got a concussion or something. Well, that at least explains how he didn't see Emmalee's brightly bleached blond head.
7) Richard was dancing in front of us during Stay Gold and after Daichi disappeared he kept nodding at Emmalee as if telling her to calm down and that everything was going to be ok. Have I mentioned that I love this kid?
8) Senzaki's goal for this year was to not be called 'Gorilla' anymore. Of course, no one listed to him. Big Muro even did a chest thump at him when the met going opposite ways on the catwalk. Oh, ganbare, Senzaki!
9) Ah, I almost forgot. Someone in 7West, I'm not positive who since I was trying to find Shige but I think it was Kotaki, saw my Shige uchiwa and gave me a thumbs up! That is a nakayoshi group!
10) On the second day there was a dokkiri set up for Kunta. During the first day during the raido show skit they did Kunta was up to his regular Kunting and was hilarious. On the second day when we got there and sat down in our seats we noticed that there was some sort of notice up on the video screens. What's this? A dokkiri? For Kunta?! The notice told us that whenever they flashed a message on the screen to not react to anything Kunta did. We could react to all the other members but NOT KUNTA! During the radio show Kunta's microphone malfunctioned, no one laughed at his jokes... during the MC it continued to seem like he was really messing up and no one thought he was funny. Junta even pretended to get angry with him saying that he had promised to keep it together today and not fuck up... Then with a grin, "Oh, by the way, this is a dokkiri!!" Poor Kunta didn't know what hit him but was very happy and relieved when we all laughed at his jokes and screamed "KUNTA-SAMAAAAAAAAA!!!!" extra loudly after his usual "Irasshaimase~"! I felt kinda bad for him but I generally don't like dokkiri. Seeing people feel uncomfortable isn't my sense of humor but at least he didn't have to suffer long.
GOD I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE THEM AGAIN!!!! COME ON ZENKOKU TOUR!!!!!
