Conceived during the Summer of Love and born in the back of VW micro-bus somewhere along Route 66, Nanaea was raised on a steady diet of books and granola. The former was fuel for her life-long obsession with the fantastical and led to a firm belief in unicorns, mermaids, and faeries. She fell in love with her very first fictional character at the tender age of sixteen. After receiving a mysterious, hand-lettered summons, she sneaked off to the local playground on the night of the full moon, convinced that a portal would open up at midnight and whisk her away to another world. It didn't, and she spent the next few months wondering why her Shalfi had abandoned her. In her early twenties she met a master thief who stole her heart with his bourbon smooth Cajun accent and his bad boy charm, but it wasn't until a certain sarcastic Potions Master cast a spell on her with his silky voice that she tumbled ass over teakettle into the world of fanfiction. She never looked back and has been acquiring new muses at an alarming rate ever since.
