Hi all! :) I’m new to this, so feel free to contact me if the prices don’t seem right (I followed the price caps as best I could). I’m also open to negotiating on prices, but would prefer the minimum order is at least $10, please. If you order at least $10 (pre-shipping), I’ll throw in one of the $1 or less items for free!

The Sale
The smellies are coming from a smoke-free home, and have been collected from various sources (eBay, LJ sales, BPAL.org sales, the lab…). I do share my space with two kitties, and while they are not allowed in the room where my BPAL is stored, I do admit that a rogue cat hair may find its way in to your package.
I will try to ship within three (3) days of receiving payment via PayPal. Purchases will be sent via USPS in either a flat rate box or padded envelope, depending on the size of the purchase, and shipping is $3 (unless shipping internationally). I’d prefer to stick to US only, but if you’re international and really want something, please let me know and we can work something out. :)
I have feedback on the forum and on eBay as myswtghst, and I've created a feedback post here to start collecting some on LJ

Join us in standing up for reproductive health and education. Planned Parenthood, the organization that delivers reproductive health care, sex education and information to millions of people worldwide, has come under fire in the U.S. lately, with many politicians on both state and federal level seeking to end funding (and in a few cases succeeding).
During the month of May, you can send a specially designed Planned Parenthood vgift to your friends to help support this cause. (And if you need someone to send it to, frank is always happy to receive gifts!) There are three variations ($1, $5 and $10) for you to choose from, but they'd all look good on your profile when your friends know that you stand by something so important.
Thank you all for your help in our support for Planned Parenthood. This promotion ends June 1, 2012; LiveJournal is not affiliated with Parent Parenthood. For more information about Planned Parenthood, please visit: http://www.plannedparenthood.org/

(If you'd like to help spread the word that we're raising funds for Planned Parenthood, you can crosspost this entry in your own journal or community by using the repost button below!)
P.S. According to staff, 100% of proceeds will be donated to PP at the end of the month.
Okay, so I don't usually do this, but this is an issue near and dear to me and this is getting very little no attention in the mainstream media.
Mississippi is voting on November 8th on whether to pass Amendment 26, the "Personhood Amendment". This amendment would grant fertilized eggs and fetuses personhood status.
Putting aside the contentious issue of abortion, this would effectively outlaw birth control and criminalize women who have miscarriages. This is not a good thing.
Jackson Women's Health Organization is the only place women can get abortions in the entire state, and they are trying to launch a grassroots movement against this amendment. This doesn't just apply to Mississippi, though, as Personhood USA, the group that introduced this amendment, is trying to introduce identical amendments in all 50 states.
What's more, in Mississippi, this amendment is expected to pass. It even has Mississippi Democrats, including the Attorney General, Jim Hood, backing it.
The reason I'm posting this here is because I made a meager donation to the Jackson Women's Health Organization this morning, and I received a personal email back hours later - on a Sunday - thanking me and noting that I'm one of the first "outside" people to contribute.
So if you sometimes pass on political action because you figure that enough other people will do something to make a difference, make an exception on this one. My RSS reader is near silent on this amendment. I only found out about it through a feminist blog. The mainstream media is not reporting on it.
If there is ever a time to donate or send a letter in protest, this would be it.
What to do?
- Read up on it. Wake Up, Mississippi is the home of the grassroots effort to fight this amendment. Daily Kos also has a thorough story on it.
- If you can afford it, you can donate at the site's link.
So, I somehow managed to get a virus / malware on my work laptop. Which means IT had to take it away for re-imaging, after I spent like four hours checking and double-checking and triple-checking that everything I could think of was backed up both to a shared drive, and to my portable HD, plus I took a screenshot of my desktop so I can remember where my folders and shit go. But I'm still super-annoyed and worried something is going to get lost.
Plus, after I let the IT guy know he could come get it, and he said he'd be by "in a bit", it took over an hour and two more IMs to get him to show up (10 minutes into lunchtime) and he still has it, two hours later. :( I just want my computer back - the temp I'm using is locked down, so I can't get Firefox, I have no iTunes, and I can't get to half of my actual work stuff, and am reduced to replying to emails and trying to find stuff to do. Grr.
So, when it comes to Facebook, I typically try to just use it as minimally as possible, to keep up with out-of-state family, and friends from high school / college. I rarely post, I typically only respond to things sent directly to me (wall posts / messages), and tend to ignore / hide people / statuses / posts I am bothered by, because as much as I'd like to be a social justice crusader, I just don't have the time or the energy to continually deal with the bullshit people post.
However, yesterday, the boyfriend dragged me in to a "discussion", and I'm still just fuming, so of course I am bringing it here to vent.
Depends on the context. I have no problem with talking about an event and acknowledging an ex was there, for example, and I think it's silly to pretend you've never dated / cared for / loved anyone but me. However, there are times and topics where it is inappropriate - including anything to do with sexytimes, both in terms of technique you've learned, and as a time to share. Seeing as how amosomamos has two kids with his ex, and she's still terribly close to his family, it'd be much weirder if we didn't talk about her sometimes.
Even though I'm rarely online, and I never post here, and I work too damn much, I gave in to the tumblr, because I kept finding things I wanted to follow, but couldn't.
So, feel free to add me, or whatev, but don't be surprised if I post on there only slightly more often than I do here, once I get comfortable and stop feeling the need to fill up the blank page.
On the bright side, the majority of my updates will likely be pictures of the cute pets (Sunny, Lily and Franzia), since it's easy to email pics from my phone to tumblr. So there's that.
I just love people who seem to forget that, when you're in public (say, at the airport), people can see you when you pick your nose. Not only did this guy really go digging, he keeps really blatantly reading / staring at the book of the poor stranger next to him.
