So I have done a lot of thinking and man the imposter syndrome is crazy, but it leads to me having a conclusion.
I am scraping the current version of Moths are not gods.
Do not worry, the surviving works as well as the now discontinued in progress ones will have their own “archived* section in the master post or something because I kind of sort of low-key hate how I wrote that version. As well as the story aspect of it. So I am going to continue world building with my friends in person, and I am going to eventually rewrite the story as something I hopefully like. I’m hoping creative writing will help me enough to push past this imposter syndrome. That being said, it’s my first update in a while, so I might as well give to you the first drawing I did at the start of the school year

Now I just have to add my experience
I’m out camping, and for some reason inspiration and motivation have collided. I’ve been watching shows and have been embraced by nature! And so I decided to doodle a tad bit, I decided to put together some AU’s of my own story that is not even complete? That’s wild thinking, but I have a decent paragraph half planned that seems good in my head:
And after everything, she had been freed. The walls containing her, a cruel cage laid down too long before her time, had failed. The city was a cruel and horrid way to control the masses, a way which continued even after the necessity of such control had long left, had fallen. Monarchs would choke on their seclusion in their prison, while the people would crumble with the mountain.
She would follow the mountains, yet stay away from them. Traveling in open fields and next to rivers, her concept of free had been rewritten. She was, to her knowledge, the only survivor, and with her would lead to the death of existence’s greatest mistake.
That was more writing than I thought lmao. Two entire paragraphs is crazy. And the quality of materials I had was so bad too! Anyways, I already know what I’m posting next. Remember the ⟨‹ First Part ›⟩? Or even ‹⟨ Grei ⟩›? I’ve decided to give you a little insight into what actually happens to determine those outcomes. Well see if I write it tomorrow lol. ;P

Ok, I’ve been putting this off long enough. If you ask my irl group they will say I’ve been crazy with lore making, if you ask me I’ll say I’m fueled off motivation like a loser. I’m honestly struggling with what order people should read these in, because this story makes the monarchs look weak and I wanted the main story to make them actually imposing and threatening. But I also wanted that monarchs introduction to be slow and nerve racking too. The irl group could tell you how scary even the work in progress monarchs powers are, but I guess this is a good Segway…

Change is the greatest constant in life. Any story over any fantasy and reality confirms this fact. However there isn’t enough change, everything is too… “Perfect”. At least, for the higher ups.
Humanity constricted itself to a range of mountains. The horrors that were the monarchs of the time grew only a small few of the peaks to unthinkable heights, while flattening all of the other mountains in view.
The hierarchy evolved just as quickly as the monarchs powers had grown. Walls were constructed around the entire artificial mountain, a way to keep people inside and “safe”. More walls were later constructed on the inside, to keep people separate.
The walls were guarded, with countless officers stationed to “protect” the people inside, although they would mostly be used to enforce the laws.
The monarchs had already abandoned the common person, constructing their own wall at the summit of the mountain, while the rest of humanity would colonize upward one time at a time.
Eventually, the monarchs would grow paranoid and would do something unthinkable. Five monarchs defended the mountain to be officers to eradicate growing strikes and drown the rest in the blood of those who had fallen. These fluffed officers, named this for the fluff on their uniform which every other officer lacked, were brutal and saw the lower classes the same as the saw ants. Needless to say the death toll would skyrocket if even one of them got a little upset.
At this time there were 4 rings, excluding the monarchs, and each would learn to devote themselves to gathering resources or producing goods for themselves. But they mostly supplied the monarchs at the top of the mountain. Each ring has a clear to see class that showed his powerful sometimes ability was, and the gap between the rings would always remain unthinkable. And then someone who had lived in the farming ring, the second lowest, had given birth to an outlier.

This is something. It’s a shame I’m gonna have to disrespect the monarchs like this before I even let them send chills down your spines. Honestly I think I can still spook you if I ever got around to making it to the only significant plot point of my story. But I guess I get to explain the title of the series too, wow, this is a tall post, I named the story Moths are Not Gods for two reasons. One reason is Origins of Humanity, please read that before this. The other is because the monarchs powers, relative to everyone else, are just gods. Don’t worry, the godhood of monarchs is very much exaggerated in current plot trees for the major story. This reminds me, I should probably send a picture of something when I finish the prequels( which I do plan on finishing, I’m just having a really tough time writing this one part and I’m one of those people who just can’t after hitting a single roadblock)… Oh well

Ok, the second half of this school year is both amazing and terrible, but we can ignore that for now. I have more lore for you guys!

Right now you guys know of humanities starting 100-200 years, but I’ve decided in my fit of both writing and artists block, to make another time period. Now, the main story for people takes place around the year 4000, so this story is going to take place around 1000-2000. I’m planning on titling this new section “A hero”, but I’m probably gonna change that name. I hope you guys are just as excited for this mini series as me!

What’s unique about humans, homo-sapiens?
We can sum this up with basic, yet ancient names:
Anomalyms- if the others were made from gods and humans through evolution, they are an anomaly to all who shouldn’t really exist?
Nomads/Herders- originally a viable tactic to survival, a group of people would follow herds of let’s say bison for food and protection
Recessids- a product of the other species receive traights coming together(segregation) and eventually becoming its own species. This is because humans in fantasy are mid and every other species improves them
Ancient Ones- flipping the previous one on its head, humans would be the first, yet do to natural radiation in the environment or smthg they would evolve, and segregation would once again lead to another species
