ok so i had one doll left over after i made christmas presents. it started out as a mess up, but then i realized i didnt want it as a mess up doll. i was reading a book my mother got me for christmas and it was listing the different chakras, and it was something i had wanted to learn for awhile now, but had no motivation. then i came up with a great way that i will remember them...

ugh wow i did the unthinkable today. well since john was home i didnt have to watch the kids like a hawk today. i locked myself in my room, and i cleaned. yeah, me. cleaning. well, more like organizing. my altar was a distaster area. everything had just piled up on it and soon became a place to stick things i wasnt using. so i revamped it. every year i like to redo it, and set it up differently. i had a new idea for some things on it. it just really needed something new. it was definately time for a change. i took different colored candles, corresponding with the meanings, looked up what herbs go with the meanings, stuck each candle in a seperate dish, and surrounded each condle with a different herb. it looks really nice, and im happy with it that way. now any time i need something specific i can just grab which candle i need.

Keturavamp and I, have decided to start a coven here in mysticalaltars, and we would love all members to join! At least once a month, we're going to create a circle of magick for everyone to post a petition of our wishes here. And in prayer for each other, we'll follow the ritual magick steps at home. It'll be fun, positive level, and upbeat. Three Pennies Pen w/ Small Paper a cup (fill half with water) Two Candles (any of your fav. colors) Our first ritual ceremony will take place Saturday Night, January the 1st. On Saturday, you'll post your wishes here. After everyone posts their wishes here's the ritual: Light the 2 candles... fill half of the cup with water... write each members name on the small piece of paper... Then in the dark by candlelight, focus and pray for each wish, counting to 8 each time... (8 symbolizing infinite power) then drop the 3 pennies in the cup of water to symbolize a magical wishing well. On one corner just lightly burn the paper quickly through one candle. Then lightly burn the opposite corner with the other candle. (Fire element to symbolize power, fruition, action and passion.) Now as the wish master, reach in and take out the 3 baptized pennies. Next, go outside and wish for yourself, and toss one penny out into the street or yard. Then wish for your coven, and then toss the next penny. This completes the spell. *Keep the 3rd penny and fold the small burned paper around it, and then hide it somewhere in your house. Then come online, and post here to let us know you did the spell! Its that easy!

if you were to put together a take-along spell bag, what would you add to it? i had this idea of putting one together, nothing too elaborate, just with a few simple things i may need for quick spells or something, maybe charms... anything you might have as an idea would be appreciated.

is anyone doing anything special to celebrate? im probably going to do something, but it wont be until later. i was thinking of burning some sort of oil, thats what i always do. i know, pretty boring, but i feel so peaceful and happy when i make up something and burn the ingrediants in an oil, and the scent goes through the entire house. it seems so magical, so to speak.

ok guys i need a little help. i need to change this months theme, but im out of ideas. possibly yule, since its december, but i need suggestions if you can think of anything better.

what would you like to see more of around here? anything i can do to make this place more interesting? anyone wish to help out?

i also need someone to think of a discussion question, since we havent had a new one in quite some time, and i would like to get this place a little active again. plus i cant seem to think of any good ones off hand.
