Crap, I lose.

So, I talked with Rue a while ago about the possibility of dealing with Hurricane Katrina in the MilliYW-verse, and we agreed it'd be cool. And then today, as I wake up from a nap, I go "Holy crap Katrina makes landfall today."

Ahahah. I lose.

So! This is mostly to keep y'all apace with current events and to see if there's any input from characters or muns about how this should be done.

Thank you in advance for flexing with my colossal absent-mindedness. I'm gonna take my red face off to karate now and plan.

Don't let me forget -- Jul. 14-15 is the two-year anniversary of the Twelvesong (only two-year, because it's 2005 back OOM).

Also, the 25th of this month is the two-year anniversary of Nita and Kit's Ordeal.

Okay. Watch me get off my butt and actually do something about this plot.

Things have been set in motion by way of Hunter, and presumably the HoA contingent is going to be hearing soon about what's going on.

Meanwhile, In Another Part of the Universe -- Gavroche should be getting the Oath adminstered soon, by Rabbit, I believe. He needs a few days with the power to get used to it, and some of that will have to be in London Below, I think, so he can get used to the way the Powers contact him (through rats, Ratspeakers, etc). There was mention of Tom, at least, finding out about the wizardry during this time and being less than happy about it.

And at some point, Gavroche wanders into LB and makes his way to Knightsbridge (Night's Bridge? Does anyone actually care if I call it one over the other? :P), where he's taken by the Darkness.

It occurs to me that at this point, we haven't really decided what's happening behind the Darkness. Can someone who isn't me pin down precisely what we've decided for what the Darkness is? I'm afraid if I do, I'll start assigning crazy ideas to it that aren't correct. From there, we just need to pin down what's wrong, what Gavroche has to do to fix it, and how the Lone Power Itself is going to figure into it. What could be simpler?

(ETA: Kate says -- "...I am getting this down in writing right now. I had this idea that maybe the fact that Gavroche is dead is the reason he's the best or only person to deal with the Darkness from the inside. Because he's no good for whatever it needs people for, or something, so he survives being taken.")

That also brings up a general YW point -- do we want to make a journal for the Lone Power? Personally, I can see advantages to it -- it would make OOMs of this sort more interesting, certainly. If we do, though, I'm. . . leery of the temptation to bring It into the bar, if only for logistics. Between Melkor, two or three versions of Satan, and various gods of death, there's how many versions of It already there?

Anyhoo. We can also just use the NPC comm and resist that temptation altogether.
