You Are 27 Years Old

Under 12: You are a kid at heart. You still have an optimistic life view - and you look at the world with awe.

13-19: You are a teenager at heart. You question authority and are still trying to find your place in this world.

20-29: You are a twentysomething at heart. You feel excited about what's to come... love, work, and new experiences.

30-39: You are a thirtysomething at heart. You've had a taste of success and true love, but you want more!

40+: You are a mature adult. You've been through most of the ups and downs of life already. Now you get to sit back and relax.

I really hate being sick. Especially when I have work and classes. Last night at work, not only was I going in and out of the soundstage all night, I also had to escort all these guys to the restroom where I then got stuck outside on the red light with all of them smoking around me. I hope I get better soon...preferably by tomorrow...

The guy working at the Target pharmacy asked me if I was over 18 when I went up to buy some DayQuil. Okay, maybe I don't look 21, but I have to look older than 18. Whatever...I just said yes and he didn't ask me for ID.

Roxy Pictures!! (Acoustic Show)

On Wednesday night I went to The Roxy to see Hanson. For the first show they let us in at 7PM and the show started at 8PM. For the second show they let us in around 10:15PM and it started at like 11:15PM. We didn't get out of there till after 1AM. For the first show (the acoustic set) I ended up in the second row and for the second show (the electric set) I just stood in the back by the bar. The first show, in my opinion, was much better. They played more songs I like and the crowd was much more sane. For the electric show we had two idiot girls standing in front of us who must have thought they were 10 years old. Anyway...here are a few pictures I took during the acoustic set for anyone that cares, lol. I was right in front of Isaac and Zac, so I couldn't really get any good pictures of Taylor.

Mmm...pictures!Collapse )

Yesterday was my first day of work. It was only a 4 hour shift since it was more of a training session. I definitely picked the best shift. I had a call time of 4:30PM and was at the studio the entire time, until 8:30PM. The other two trainees for That 70's Show had to check-in at 4:00PM at the college parking lot where the shuttles and guest check-in were. They ended up working out in the sun from 4-6:30PM before they finished up and came to the studio. I trained with two other pages in seating, which was pretty fun. The only thing that made it more difficult was the for That 70's Show the audience sits on benches instead of seats so the number of people that can be seated on one bench kind of depends on the size of the people. We had to tape off spots for 100 people that were on the production guest list. After the three of us finished that, it was time to make dinners for the all the pages on the show. We had to walk from the stage to the dinner area, which was actually pretty far. It was fun though because as we were walking to the dinner area, we passed Ashton, Laura, Danny, Wilmer, and Macauley Culkin. haha. I felt really out of place when we walked into the dinner lounge. We were the only people wearing slacks, white button down shirts and ties. Everyone else looked pretty casual. After we made nine dinners we had to carry them back and put them under the stage. Seating the guests wasn't too bad. I pretty much just watched what the other two pages were doing and sat some people. Once the show started the I had a 15 minute break with the other two trainees and then had about 45 minutes left of my shift. We pretty much just had to take turns escorting guests to the restroom.

I'm not scheduled to work next week, unless some more shows end up filming and they need more people.

Less than 1 week until I move out of here! I really wish I didn't have to take any finals and could just stay in my hall and say goodbye to everyone. But since that will not be happening, I've been trying to study for Psych. I have my P103 final on Tuesday at 8AM, my 190 take-home due Tuesday at 5PM, and my ESS5 final on Friday at 10:30AM. I haven't really started packing anything yet. My room is starting to get out of control, well at least to my standards.

Friday night some of us staffers went to a Dodger game. The Dodgers were playing the Twins and we had pretty decent seats. I hadn't been to a game in a while, so it was fun. There were many hits and errors, so it was pretty exciting; even got to see Gagne pitch. There was this guy a couple rows away from us that got taken away by security not once, but TWICE, for throwing peanuts. I think he was also intoxicated, but he didn't seem to be harming anyone. He was just dancing. hehe. It took us forever to get out of the parking lot. Christine didn't want to drive, so John drove us back; those Dodger fans are crazy! All I could hear as we were sitting in the parking lot was "HEE SOP CHOI!! HEE SOP CHOI!!" and then people honking their horns and yelling "They don't have any more beer!!!"

Here is a pretty picture I took of the Stadium while the sun was setting. I took somewhere between 200 and 300 pictures of us at the game, in the car, etc. I love having a larger memory card.

Last weekend I went with Ruby and one of Alethea's residents to Magic Mountain. It was the Filipino-American Fun Fest and Alethea was singing at the 7PM performance headlined by Jasmine Trias (American Idol finalist in Season 3). I hadn't been there in year, since Goliath was the newest ride, heh. Alethea was able to hang out with us for most the day before she had to go get ready. We all waited in line for over 2 hours for X, which turned out to be really awesome even though I was terrified AND had to walk barefoot on the nasty Magic Mountain floor since I put my sandals in the locker. heh. We actually had VIP tickets (since Alethea's dad got the tickets for us) and were let in to different way than the general audience. Ruby and I thought Jasmine Trias' street team was really cute. They had been waiting in line for several hours and several of them were disappointed when they found out that the VIP line was not allowed to go in the front, center secion, only on the left hand side. The place didn't fill up (the Golden Bear Theatre) but there was a good number of people there. It was definitely an entertaining show...lots of different acts. I think Ruby and I were the only non-Filipino people in attendance, but it was so awesome to be able to go and see Alethea perform. We wished she had been able to sing more than 2 songs, since several people who were not on her level as far as performing goes were able to sing 3 songs. Also, they were super strict about taking photos, more strict than any concert I have been to. I only managed to take a couple of Alethea, then several of Jasmine since when she came out SOO many people were taking pictures that security couldn't stop everyone.

Alethea and JasmineCollapse )

That is all. I should get some sleep so I don't sleep too late tomorrow. Also hope I don't get any duty calls, but I probably will.

This week is so crazy...and the next two are going to be even busier. Today in our RA meeting we went over all the information about closing. We even got a 4 page packet. The process is definitely easier on us this year, in the sense that residents don't have to check out with us. Instead, they have to go to the Housing Office, which is nice because this means we don't have to be tied down as much that last week. We are supposed to have all of our posters and such down by this Friday, but I might wait on a few of them until early next week. I took down some unimportant stuff already.

It is really sad when I get so busy and stressed that I get extremely excited about something no one really cares about. LoL. Apparently Arnold was here from 8-12 speaking at the Bren...then this afternoon when I went to the Housing Office there was a CBS2 van parked outside. Anyways...Linda Breakstone was doing a Live feed from there in regards to Arnold/Protestors/Etc. There were some other excited staffers in the office, so I guess I wasn't the *only* one.

Also exciting...Kelly Clarkson tickets go on sale Friday. Yay! Thanks to Pahole and Rina for letting me know; I don't know how I didn't find out about this sooner.

Yet more excitement...this Saturday is Magic Mountain! I don't know if anyone else is going with us yet, but Ruby and I are going to watch Alethea perform! Should be really fun...it is for Fil-American FunFest 2005 (scroll down to June). =0)

Summer Housing

Thought I may as well try here...

So...both the people that my friend found for my roommate and I to sublet our space to in Campus Village this summer have backed out.

Therefore...do you or anyone you know need a place to live for the summer?

Let me know...Thanks! =0)

*edit* - This only applies to all my UCI friends...don't want to confuse anyone. =0)
