So how are you doing this spring?

I feel like it's been a very long time since I last played studied Japanese.

I'm doing quite well in this current residence here in Mexico while also looking forward to getting my homestead in southern Chile. That's where I want to go for planting my own cherry trees using volcanic ash and pumice. No plant could resist that natural fertilizer (sunflowers love igneous rocks too). Being closer to the Pacific Ocean will help me take advantage of the proximity to those southern islands, Hawaii and hopefully Japan.

So yes milady, I want to see cherry blossoms everyday like my busy, chemist penpal from Ontario (said to be very expensive). She's so eager to play video games while getting stuck with lab work.

Come to think of it, I saw an ad of 7 Deadly Sins on Youtube recently. I didn't know that you and your husband were playing that game. I'm also surprised that this anime series eventually expanded into video games. Unfortunately, it's got bugs like you said. Reminds me of Cyberpunk 2077 at launch and those CD Projekt could have waited until 2023. I still love that sci-fi adventure game though.

Oh! Tail Concerto was an exciting action adventure game which plays oddly similar to Megaman Legends. Shooting the final boss with plasma was epic and Maaya Sakamoto in the cast adds more enjoyment to this game. Back when she was 18 years old when she wrote the theme song for Record of Lodoss War.

Yep! Maaya Sakamoto worked for CyberConnect2 before those IMOQ games came out, voicing Natsume and Aura. Happy early birthday to her, Hayashibara-sama and Ayasumi (the voice of my beloved Melfina, Gwendolyn and Kiriko).

I'll be playing the rest of First Departure R as I wait for Dot Hack Zero and the Suikoden 2 anime adaptation. I really want Aki Shimizu's Suikoden 3 manga to be beautifully adapted after so long. Have similar animations to that intro and cutscenes in the game. Suikoden really needs to expand into anime because the anime industry is running out of original manga to advertise. Some being unfaithful adaptations like Promised Neverland or 2016 Berserk. Getting poor reception by animation critics.

Hopefully, Tomokazu Seki will be able to take on the role of Luca Blight long after that Suikoden 2 CD Drama. I want to hear this most diabolical voice like in that scene where he slaughtered and burned villagers. You can say that Luca Blight was laughing at all the towns he pillaged like Genghis Khan off screen.

Looking forward to more Tales of remasters as well.

With that said, how are things in Norway and what do you think of the upcoming Dot Hack Zero?

Several of my friends have been talking about it.

Cyberconnect2 also owes retro gamers Tail Concerto remastered. Just like how GameArts owes me Grandia 3 remastered.

Anyhow, March will be pretty busy.

It's no problem at all milady and Year of the Dragon has been adequate. I hope Year of the Snake will be better.

I'm thinking about using my fairly new Japanese knowledge for delving into Grand Knights History.

Yes, I love Vanillaware. Especially after seeing what a great job they did in Odin Sphere.

I also defeated Ruby Weapon after decades of waiting.

Your birthday is practically next door to an English supertomboy your age. My big Virgo friend will be 39 this September and is also a supertomboy that obviously loves sci-fi, including Gundam Wing.

I've only started my Japanese courses a year ago and it was somewhat hard because of particles. I do agree with that one linguist saying that Southern Min has simpler particles with more consistent grammatical function than its Japanese counterpart.

I don't think that there are any underused particles in Hokkien like in Japanese. Japanese has at least ten particles that no one will ever use like ya, tomo, kashira, dano, sa, zo, chatta, e, o and mon.

From what I've heard, Korean only has two infrequently used particles like "으로서" (euroseo) or "빌레" (billye).

As for Dot Hack, the remastered GU games seem easier to purchase than that original quadrilogy or IMOQ which can only be bootlegged.

While I do love playing most games solo, I still love playing Ragnarok Online with different people. The closest thing to a Dot Hack mmorpg that I can think of and I love post-renewal mechanics more than ever before. Now those underused classes back in early renewal are completely balanced and more exciting than ever before.

Halo and Armored Core are other games that I like to play with others.

Armored Core 6 should have multiplayer as awesome as every other in its respective franchise. Gundam games try to be arcadey, experimental, etc and it just doesn't work. I prefer mecha games to play like third-person shooters like Armored Core, Omega Boost, ZOE or Mechwarrior.

Video games aside, you can always download Instant Japanese anytime and Boyé Lafayette de Mente did a great job introducing me to Japanese. Thanks to his old book and Oxford, I was able to complete Silent Möbius and its sequel QD. That is, very obscure manga that deserve a more detailed adaptations.

I don't approve of this 12 episode per season format in current anime which is lazy. If the anime industry can't handle the pressure of making better adaptations, then they should quit.

Oh yes! Instant Japanese doesn't have kanji. You can copy and paste Chinese characters onto Nihongodera later.
