Yes, you are absolutely correct. It is one of the main reasons i quit MAL time to time. maybe even takes years. But the thing is, i always return to my hobbies sooner or later. Maybe eventually ill stop socializing and stop using the forums, but I dont think ill escape this culture. Its like a mental reset you know? The more i spend time here, the more I can manage the bullshittery IRL.

about WA2, i think I understand what you mean. for me, i was really interested in characters like a cheap soap opera. I thınk the characters and their struggles were the best in fiction ive seen. I've replayed the game after some years and I still couldnt stop my emotions at some scenes.

In a way, yes. I am mostly good at remembering events. My memory is "just good" when it comes to other things.

Understood! It could be that you need a break. Even fun things can get tiring when done too much. It's even worse if you had a bad experience lately. A break helped moi a lot in the past.

mhmm, I tend to find visiting older posts a bit draining sometimes. Even now, I have had my own cases where I felt not willing to talk to new people. It can happens, specially if you have been doing it for a long time.

it's been like 16 years now since they first created chang so I don't really remember very well anymore, but I think it was because we were chatting in an official chat thread but our original chang group wasn't very welcoming to newer people wanting to chat in that thread. there was a ton of shitposting and trolling and toxicity, of which I was definitely guilty of myself. people complained so eventually they made the chang offshoot with the warning about the established members of the thread lol.

and yeah I've resurfaced every now and again over the years and popped my head into the forums. I haven't changed my forum set since probably 2014.
