I've never heard of The Strongest Sage with the Weakest Crest, but I've known plenty of great fantasy stories. I generally prefer a fantasy-steampunk mashup. Kind of like Wild Arms which should also be western more often. The Twilight Venom anime is much more western than WA4 which isn't very Wild Arms at all.

Other than that, I checked the cast online just now and I don't even know who any of those actors are. No veterans included whatsoever, even in the Japanese cast. No Japanese actors known across different media whatsoever.

Code Vein 2, as of recently, isn't perfect, but I love Sayaka Ohara, AKA Selvaria Bles and others.

Aside from new cyberpunk comics, I'm also dying to see Suikoden get an anime adaptation and Aki Shimizu's manga getting an anime adaptation is long overdue.

I want Tomokazu Seki to take on the role of Luca Blight once again so badly. Yes! The Japanese guy who people know as Sousuke Sagara. He would sound like a more diabolical Gilgamesh which would be quite sinister. :D

My semitomboyish friend from North Carolina sees Tomokazu Seki as Jiro, Domon and Yule everyday. I think that she deserves Gundam SEED Freedom on Blu-ray (Lacus got sexier than ever before, now a realistic babe).

I would import a wide variety of physical anime directly from Japan.

With that said, March is next and I expect something great for us then.

I look forward to watching Cyberpunk Edgerunners season 2 soon enough and until then, I'll be reading some East of West and the rest of Tokyo Ghost (a new kind of cyberpunk).

Yeah! It's been months since I last re-watched Stand Alone Complex. Looking forward to exploring other modern cyberpunk called Private Eye. More modern than the cyberpunk our parents used to know over 30 years ago.

IIRC, I re-watched Full Metal Panic four times since I had cable TV. Nowadays, I favor my Windows TV box over cable (too much boomer-induced garbage and I prefer anime). Used to be cool, but now it's yesterday's news, cable that is.

With that said, I hope that Year of the Horse will be your perfect match as far as years go. Yep! It's on the 17th of next month.

I've been playing Legend of Dragoon for the first time and I love Meru. Wingly women are hot (Lenus was a villainess, though hot), but so are Miranda and Rose (humans).

I also think that you deserve an MSI Titan GT77 HX or equivalent laptop for Back To School Day so that you may emulate Naruto games.

I wonder if Halloween Day is your thing. I have big plans for that particular holiday and holidays should still be exciting.

I've been busy since I last finished reading all the necessary Devilman manga stuff and now I'm delving into Fafner sequels like The Beyond. I really wish that I could watch Fafner sequels English dubbed, but I don't mind listening to Marika Matsumoto, aka Rikku.

A friend of mine from Ontario is the same age Rikku's seiyuu. She turned 40 on the first of October, so early Libra. Definitely about your age.

Other than that, I really can't wait to delve into indie comics besides Copperhead. I hope to read some indie comics potentially similar to Hyper Police with hopefully, half of its themes at least.

I understand if Year of the Dragon hasn't been kind to you. Can't wait for next year so it'll be over. Gotta wait until around the first week of February though.

I hope that summer will be magical, especially around Back To School Day. Kids hate it, but I love it. Better deals on office and school supplies, sketchbooks included.

Video games may not be everyone's thing, but I love Star Ocean 2 and the remake definitely has better acting. My shoujo loving friend is happy to see Megan Hollingshead having taken on a new role. Yes, she grew up watching Pokémon and Yu-Gi-Oh dubbed before 4Kids went bye-bye.

Her love for shoujo reminds me of that of this lady named Elise that I haven't seen in forever. Unfortunately for this decade, it's been tough for a lot of people. I can't relate to shoujo that easily, but I totally respect her taste and her love for hard fantasy.

The 2020s has been tough for many people, but I try to look at my bright side.

As for Japanese, I'm actually getting closer to mastery like that one, nigh middle-aged semitomboy that I also haven't seen in ages since she married a Chinese man (from Hong Kong actually where it's Cantonese over Mandarin and Min). Special thanks to AI for helping me understand particles that Japanese people use excessively. From underused to overused. How did that semitomboy deal with particles before ChatGPT, Gemini or Copilot was even a thing? I thought jōyō kanji was hard which are basic Mandarin characters Chinese people use everyday (who knows what they mean in the Min family of languages).

Kids might as well have AI teachers helping them with foreign language.

Yoruba, Latin and Russian may not be so difficult after all. Seeing that neither language has frequent particles or definite articles (indefinite stuff too). AI could teach kids those languages fast.

I used Pokémon Database that long sure, but I only started taking advantage of it recently. That is, copying and pasting its traditional Chinese characters onto Nihongodera. Yes, Nihongodera actually works. Able to handle 65% of Chinese characters that China uses everyday.

Other than that, only 9 more days until your next birthday which is clearly next door to Sanae Kobayashi and the tomboyish girl that turned Amish years ago Holly (she must have been a chearleader back in school because she had that natural cheering in her).

I haven't played Sakura Wars 5 in Japanese yet, but I can tell that Sanae Kobayashi did a great job as Gemini Sunrise. Some cowgirl living in a steampunk, 1920s New York. Laura Bailey also did a great job voicing that Texan character with the split personality.

Crazy, but still an interesting character. Shifting between scatterbrained and hardcore cowgirl. I don't think the game explained clearly how she traveled that far northeast to New York or how Subaru Kujou traveled more than 10,000 miles to New York from Japan.

In general, Sakura Wars 5 is all about steampunk exorcists working as part-time entertainers (via auditorium) fighting demons in New York. The only VN of its respective franchise that made it to America. Probably because westerns are more familiar with Ah! My Goddess character designs.

Sega owns the franchise (very true and that samurai showbiz girl Sakura Shinguji should always be the face of that franchise), but it was the makers of Gungrave that made So Long, My Love. Not Madhouse, but Red Entertainment.

As for Gungrave, I really enjoyed the sequel called Overdose. Brandon, Billy and Jyuji are all awesome protagonists in that game. Definitely the best adventures of Brandon and Mika I've ever seen.

Too bad Madhouse never saw the awesome sequel Overdose coming. I would have loved to see Billy and Jyuji adapted into anime.

I hope to at least make more progress in Grandia HD before everyone goes back to work (I still want to know exactly why Leen or Feena's sister got enlisted in the military).

I'm not super mecha savvy myself, but I grew up with the genre since Voltron got its last rerun.

Mecha-wise, I prefer Big O and Fafner to Gundam. Some Gundam SEED fangirl in an online game told me that 00 and AGE have the worst mecha designs. I kind of agree, but you know modern anime and I don't think anyone is interested in those Little Witch From Mercury mech designs either.

Iron Blooded Orphans is something that I grew out of because the characters are forgettable (G Gundam and OG Macross characters have way more personality; have grown out of Voltron also since most Toei stuff is for kids) and because the mech designs are average. More proof that the anime industry isn't as up to snuff anymore.

That OG Gundam isn't a masterpiece, but at least the characters are memorable. Sayla being one of my absolute favorites. I love the fact that its prequel or that 2016 OVA perfected 0079's artstyle.

I totally agree with said semitomboy saying that Yoshikazu Yasuhiko's artwork is beautiful. Of course! his manga career started a very long time ago so he has a lot of experience and I wish that more people could hire him (very good at drawing very realistic women like the tomboyish biker Miranda who is capable of hitting like a man or the beautiful Hamon Crowley; I'm tired of seeing cutesy bishoujo all over the place and I can't believe Japanese men would marry virtual bishoujo instead of more realistic women).

IMO, most Universal Century Gundam sequels are mediocre. Side stories like some OVAs are cool though.

Some semitomboyish, Sailor Mars fangirl that I haven't seen in months loves Gundam Wing, but my North Carolina friend hates it despite being so sci-fi savvy (manga-wise, she loves Gundam: The Origin, Rose of Versailles, Big O, Akira, Lupin, Chobits, Please Save My Earth, Kikaider, Chihayafuru and even Lindbergh). Haven't seen said Sailor Mars fangirl in months because she has a fiancée. Everyone knows that smart is sexy by now.

In the end, everyone has their respective tastes.

I re-watched Gundam Wing two years ago and it was as cool as I remembered plus I didn't get a chance to watch Endless Waltz when it was on TV. I watched TechTV anime, Anime On Demand, Anime Network and even Encore Action anime, but missed out on Endless Waltz until this decade. The movie was enjoyable, but kind of sad also.

It's respective universe has way more iconic mecha designs than those of AGE, 00 and IBO. As iconic as its toys were in the 90s when I was looking for action figures (Pokémon cards as well) in a store.

Both actually and in my current residence, i.e., central Mexico, there are universities willing to give people PhDs if their Japanese is good enough.

You could say that Japanese can be rewarding in the long run. Aside from having decent Japanese, I also know a great deal of math already. It did take ages to make a high school C student like me with average GPA into a guru, sage, etc mathematical-wise.

I'm a late bloomer so I couldn't graduate proudly like the honors students, able to become PhD material in a short amount of time (knowing more than enough anthropology needed to survive in the wilderness). Getting supergenius intellect does take a while to achieve. Not everyone can be Reed Richards overnight and now you know that I take knowledge very personally at my current age.

As for your watching list, I only spotted a few anime that I've known for years. My big Virgo friend is a huge fan of Gundam 00 and she's about as mecha savvy as my semitomboyish North Carolina friend.
