Hey, my name is Caleb and I'm a student at MCC. I am interested in starting a new club called Green Club. It will be an environmental organization of sorts. I have some killer ideas. However, in order to get official recognition by MCC, I need at least seven other students of MCC on board as well as a faculty advisor. The problem is, I don't know which faculty member to choose. Also, this isn't urgent, but if someone out there is interested and has good bookkeeping skills, that will be required since being recognized by MCC also makes us eligible for some kind of funding. So far I have an idea for a contest. We get several volunteers and split them into teams. Whoever can pick up the most garbage inside Muskegon County in one day will recieve a prize. Plus we'll have volunteers go door to door accepting pledges of dollars per pound of garbage collected, and perhaps with that money we can be completely self-sufficient and not need funding from the college.
It will also include lots of harmless awareness-raising shenanigans.
I don't want anyone to join and then quit three days later, so think about it for a bit before you decide anything. I think we have to wait until fall next year to apply for "clubhood", but there's no reason not to be organized now.
Hey whats up everyone. I am ShiLyn, I started at MCC this past fall. Next semester I am going in to Math 40. Just curious if anyone is looking to get rid of their book, and how much they want for it?
Woooo... okay, well, MCC effing ROCKS, and this community has been dead for quite a while... I haven't done much with it since I became moderator, and I think it's about time I do that.
There has to be more livejournal users that happen to be MCC Students, any ideas of how to help this community grow? I need to start updating more often with events happening around the campus... and I was also thinking that maybe there could be more things that are OFF campus such as different things just going on around Muskegon or West MI for college students, or do you think it would be best to stick strictly to MCC only?
Please comment with any ideas to help out this community, and I'm working on a better, more... less boring look... so just let me know!
We're looking for a roomate, age 18-30ish, any orientation, male, female, or couples.. We are pet and smoker friendly, although smoking areas may be limited this winter to individual bedrooms and the heated breezeway.
The house is in Norton shores, near the mall and Cinema Carousel. One resident is a full time college student at MCC.. It's a 4 bedroom, 2 bath with large fenced in yard, kitchen, dining room, living room with fireplace, and a study. We're all open, laid back people and we all work full time, but we all like to have fun. 3 people live there, two share a room. We have a large dog, large iguana (caged most the time), and a cat in the house.
Rent is $250/month. Utilities are included, but some months there may be a bit extra, never more then like $20-30 per person, and only if our gas bills are high.
