could it be they fear the joy of life?
Last night, I went to bed at 9:30, praying we'd get enough snow to close the office, because I was running a fever of 100.1 and didn't want to use a sick day. Sadly, the office did not close, but I stayed home anyway. The fever broke earlier, but I think it's back, mostly because my entire body is one giant ache. My skin hurts and I'm wearing a fleecy over my sweatshirt and under my blanket.
On the upside, that meant I got to watch last night's The Good Wife, which made me want to take a shower. Obviously, nobody is untainted in this little story. And I really do not like Blake and would like to see the back of him, which still kind of fills me with cognitive dissonance, because while he was never my favorite character, I was always fond of Jason Street.
Especially because then I watched the three episodes of Friday Night Lights I was behind on and Street! Was there having lunch with Coach! And married to the chick who had his baby! And cheering the Panthers on, which, whatever. Also, that Panthers QB did not look like JD McCoy. For a moment, I wondered, is he gone? and then I realized I didn't care.
Vince is breaking my heart. I swear to god, why won't anyone - Jess, if not Coach - sit him down and tell him that his scholarship will go POOF! if there are recruiting violations? I keep waiting for Jess to do it, and they keep letting him get away with this bullshit and it's making me crazy!
I love how Mindy and the strippers are totally Becky's cheering section. ♥ Man, who ever though Mindy would be awesome? Billy, otoh, needs to be reined in. Oy. Hit his my embarrassment squick hard sometimes.
Meanwhile, Epyck (seriously? SERIOUSLY?) now has Tami Taylor on her side, and girl, that woman is a force of nature, and I think by your sly little grin at the end of the episode, you know it, too, and now she's on your side.
Speaking of Tami as a force of nature, man, I wanted her to chew asshole TA out. I LOVED Eric just backing him out of the house with sheer presence and tricycle handlebars. Mostly, I wanted to shake some sense into Julie, and get her to counseling. And then she went to see Matt Saracen at the end, and I was like, dude, Julie, can't you see what a comedown the TA was? Matt Saracen had his issues, sure, but he's way more awesome than that other guy ever would be or even could be.
So we had Street and Saracen, and we know what Riggins is up to, so when are we getting Smash back? (I know we probably aren't, but man, he needs to maybe have a talk with Vince. I would like that a lot. Someone should write that for me.)
Now I think I have to go lie down for a while.

ETA: It seems like they're trying to make Blake the antagonist within the law firm, kind of like Carey was last year. I never thought I'd like Carey more than anyone else on the show until now. Heh.
