musesfool: Kaz/Inej (we never stop fighting)

and put on our game face

I went for a walk today, and took my mask off when I left the building, and it was so nice. (I have a lanyard so it hangs around my neck when I'm not wearing it - I recommend this as it means you're not shoving your mask in your bag or pocket or putting it down and losing it etc.)

This weekend, I rewatched Shadow and Bone and they really catered to my Kaz/Inej-loving heart. Like, Kaz is so far gone so early that he admits he needs her! Out loud! HE HANDS OVER THE CROW CLUB AS COLLATERAL FOR HER FREEDOM. He tells her she's special - one-of-a-kind even! She's still clearly wary of him despite - or because - he (or Per Haskell, who isn't referenced in the show) owns her indenture now, but ugh, the first person she kills, she kills to protect Kaz! Just. My heart!

Everything about how their relationship was portrayed worked really well for me. I also liked that they moved the conversation about crows to here. I am really excited for him to give her the 'we never stop fighting' speech and I really hope they get enough seasons to get there.

As I mentioned in my first post about the show, Jesper was also PERFECT. It gives me a lot of hope for Wylan, because Kit Young has chemistry with everyone he's on screen with so far.

And also, given how good the casting was for season 1, I CANNOT WAIT for NIKOLAI. Please confirm there will be a season 2 soon, Netflix! Please!

I hadn't read the books for "Shadows and Bones" or "Six of Crows" and I thought the show did a great job of showing the world and the characters. I can't wait to see the second season. :)

Fiona was required to get one for school, and it's been great. I envisioned lost masks at recess or lunch, but the lanyard prevents that.
