I spent a lovely part of the evening with wogs, gdg, michaelmay, pablowapsi, and the charming Sue. It was a very silly night, full of good food and wonderful company. Sing it Poooooo. I look forward to our next grocery store dining experience. ^^ hehe
Back at home I worked on a special 'private reserve' project. Mmmm. That was fun too.
7 1/2 hours until my four day weekend baby!
From what I understand, it is sistersketcher's birthday today! Have an amazing day!
Craig and I were all ready to work on the house hole last night when the sky opened up, drenching our work area. So sad. ~.O Instead, I transferred the 3rd of my seasonal boys (Autumn) to watercolor paper and watched Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. "We named the dog Indiana." hah! As an actor, I love love love Sean Connery, not so much as a person though.
I've fallen back in the swing of writing on my poor vampires. Such a hard time of things they have ahead of them.
The lovely caronvinson started a sketch of my Dorian that you can see here! Thank you so much dear, I can't wait to see him all finished. ^^ *feels so lucky*
It was so nice to talk to my favorite Pinkle/Pickle last night. Less.Than.Two.Months!!
That's right, Craig and I will once again be making a trek to California to see the US MotoGP. Woohoo! Motorcycle boys, here I come. ^^ This year we've the added bonus of spending a couple days with vanjenn and corkbutt. It's going to be a great trip! Seven days of California fun. ^____^ Now I just need to save up the spending money to actually get us through that week. O.O Aw yeah....
My body has chosen to celebrate by giving me two green eyes today rather than one green and one red. YAY!! It feels better than it has in months. Hopefully by next week it will be right as rain. Good bye to the stink eye, don't let the door hit you in the ass on your way out!
I spent the whole evening working on the Wizard of Oz stuff like a good little sketch card girl. I'm about to burst with all the ideas I want to work on, so come Monday, hopefully I'll jump right into new paintings. Woohoo!
There are a couple people on my f-list today who've given me an inspirational charge by posting their new works, that paired with a few conversations I've had recently makes me feel so lucky. How wonderful it is to be surrounded by such talented people. XOX
I'm curious if this is something that happens to people other than me...
Let's say you are leaving your house (or work... whatever), you have your keys and your purse (if you're a chick) or what ever guys carry. Do you find that if you have an additional thing to carry, that your forget one of your original things? the other day I had some things to bring into work, and I glossed over taking my purse...that happened to be sitting RIGHT NEXT to the other things I was taking. Ungh.
I think that my mind has a limiter on how many items I can remember to take with me. If I have extra stuff to carry, I invariably forget something... >.<
Or I'm losing my mind. That could be too.
To make me feel less idiotic, tell me the stupid things that you guys do... come on, pony up your idiosyncrasies, they make you loveable. ^^
Friday night brought some storyline/plot resolutions that I've been struggling with for a few months, and I am itching to get into some heavy writing. It helps so much to have a couple really good ears to listen to my yapping. Thanks to my Rae.
Saturday I almost nailed down the printing for the Christmas cards, hopefully I can get it right tonight and start printing them up to get sent out. Craig has come around and really likes the design now, in spite of the fact that he still thinks the ice crystals in the fae's top are daggers that she could extract at any moment for use as a weapon. Boys. >.<
Saturday night Tam and I got together, and after about an hour of dicking around trying to figure out what to do we went and got some chai only to turn right around and come back home to play games. I have the best time with her. We commiserated about missing the bikes, and talked a little about the spring trip (that I would gladly take tomorrow if it wasn't 10 degrees outside.) I think this upcoming motorcycle season will be filled with alot of little day trips for the girls. It breaks my heart that Craig will not be riding with me, but it would destroy me if something worse were to happen because he continued to ride. Taking a couple years off is a good idea. We'll just have to find other things to entertain us. ~.O I don't remember it being this bad last winter, but every morning when I go into the garage I see the Champloo bike and my stomach does a little flip. Spring cannot come soon enough. ^^
Tam and I talked about tattoos. Thinking of taking the plunge sometime (not right away) and getting something done on the other wrist. Just seems like a good idea to me. *listens to the chorus of 'I told you so's telling me that I would want another* Yeah.
I lost a mitten. :(
Sunday I finally got the PS2 hooked up for on-line play of Champions of Norrath. Tam and I tested it out for a bit in the afternoon. We had a blast. We don't have the headsets, but we've played together so long that I can almost guess what she's thinking at eny given time, god love a history. I really like the feeling of knowing someone so well that sometimes words aren't even necessary. It almost makes it feel like you have a secret passage to a persons vault. I'm lucky enough to have two such people. It makes it interesting when you are trying to go against your heart, they always seem to know. That, and you really can't get away with anything. Nice.
Blahblah. It was a good weekend.
Edit: For a little fun, and to warm up the wintery days, I close with my own little tribute to 'the boys of summer' mugmoni style.... These are not my photos, they are off the Nicky Hayden website, all my pictures re at home, but this is a representaton of how I spent my summer. ~.O
