Welcome to Mario Kart GD!

Mario Kart GD is a fanmade Mario Kart made by 1 person, me!  It features nearly everything you need for a full-featured Mario Kart installment.

This game uses a gamepad for gameplay and the mouse for everything else like the menus.

	Banana Can be placed on the road to mess with opponents or thrown forward as a short-ranged weapon.
	Mushroom A simple speed boost to get ahead of the competition.
	Green Shell Bounces off of walls up to 5 times before disappearing or hitting another player, whatever comes first
	Red Shell Does not bounce off of walls, but will target the nearest opponent from where you threw it from (I am not responsible for when the shell takes a u-turn and hits you instead because said nearest opponent is right behind you)
	Fake Item Box Drop a decoy item box to fool opponents and sometimes yourself
	White Block The most common projectile in the game, gets thrown straight ahead and breaks when it hits a wall or an opponent.  Objectively safer than the Green Shell
	Cape Feather Allows the player to leap over obstacles, opponents, or walls. (Certain tracks have shortcuts designed specifically for this item.)
	Bowser Shell Acts like a green shell, but has a ridiculously large hitbox, bounces off of walls up to 15 times, and does not break when it hits an opponent.  This item is pretty rare so do not waste it.
	Magic Whistle Another rare item, this creates a powerful tornado that moves in a straight line and does not stop at anything at all.
	Super Star Grants the user a brief speed boost, immunity to all weapons and hazards, and the capability to harm other racers by simply touching them.  By far the most powerful rare item of them all.

Q: how do i use keyboard controls

A: Get a gamepad.  Nobody should have to play any game with a keyboard that is not first-person.  You can find cheap ones at your local store.
