Reality Fracture is the 114th Magic: The Gathering expansion, and is scheduled for release on October 2, 2026. It is an event set, forming the climax of both the Echoverse Arc and the larger three-year Metronome Arc. Mastermind Jace Beleren has pushed reality to its breaking point. An alternate Multiverse of his own creation spreads from Hexhaven and threatens to overtake the main Multiverse. The Echoverse was intended to be free of suffering, but what Jace defined as perfect came with his own biases. At the same time, the ripples of reality created some unexpected results. Just one brave team of heroes stands in the path of oblivion.
Reality Fracture has a "What if"-theme. However, unlike Planar Chaos, the set stays true to the color pie. It sees the return of preparation cards, which were introduced in Secrets of Strixhaven. Each Play Booster features two paired ("echoed") legendary cards (an original character and its Echoverse variant). These mirrored pairs are always creatures or planeswalkers. As a result, Reality Fracture contains far more planeswalkers than other recent premier sets. The Echoverse cards feature a watermark of the Echoverse sigil Watermark of Echoverse, as first seen on Ral Zarek, Guest Lecturer (Secrets of Strixhaven). The set also features non-creature, non-planeswalker spells that are twists on famous cards.
