wizards of the coast is really innovating if you're into apocalyptically incestuous cultural sludge, digested and regurgitated to only barest recognisability for viable producteering

finally, product for people who enjoy a recognisable trace of a bit of ghibli key animation to convey the idea of studying to non-intrusive homogenous music passively

I reblogged this last month, tagged it, and said “might as well see if it works.” I used this video as a reference to find all the forms that i needed (which is A LOT, especially if you’re a dependent) and sent them through the mail, not really allowing myself to hope.

dude.

$2,714 of medical debt from my top surgery - gone. im shaking this was such a weight on me for 2 years and it fucking worked. what the fuck.

This is huge. Sharing for my US friendos.

Hospitals like to hide these policies under a lot of successive links in obscure places, so if you don't see anything right away, keep looking! Get friends to help! Make it a scavenger hunt. A game where you're assassins sent to slit capitalism's throat

what if we played magic and you didn't get unreasonably upset and passive aggressive at me using mechanics that exist in the game 🥺

oh i think ill play my poison deck ^_^

the Naya player who likes to cheat out a lethal board state in one turn: omg poison is so oppressive can you not play it why can't you just play a normal deck

hmm maybe ill play my Azorius deck then

the Naya player: omg really??? counterspells are so cringe i hate blue. anyway all my dinosaurs have hexproof and haste and trample and reduce all damage they take to 1

reading comprehension test

Is the op actually upset at Naya players and those strategies or is the op maybe trying to make a point

i do wanna fuck around with cedh more but at the same time it is a very different game in a sense, i don't always wanna do that i wanna play what i find fun

im just gonna start killing people when they complain about poison or counterspells i think

This is kinda why I don't play commander anymore, I think there's something about losing a 2-3 hour game that feels bad and the idea that it "should be casual" that means people don't like when other players do things that feel bad even tho that's how the game Is played.

my solution was to play more 60 card constructed, specifically pauper, it's cheap which makes it easy to get into, you can get like 2-3 bo3's in the same time as a commander game which means more chance of winning or getting Todo the cool thing your deck does, if you like playing with more than 2 players you can do a little round robin of bo3s, plus you can play more decks cause games are shorter.

I think I'm gonna start calling it "CBRN ordnance" instead of tear gas, pepper rounds, et al. Just to hammer home the point, y'know. "The cops used teargas against the protestors" You mean the regime deployed proscribed CBRN ordnance in order to pacify the dissident citizens

i think it's important that this stays with the post

i do think its really convenient how they name this shit so nonthreateningly. "tear gas" awwww it makes you cry a little haha. wrong. you can go blind.

"Gas that makes you go blind and gives you chemical pneumonia and respiratory cancer" just isn't as marketable, I suppose

Tear gas is horrible and that's why I encourage people to own full face respirators made by companies like 3M. if you can afford something that is ANSI Z87.1 impact resistant, all the better, but even something that can provide some protection for your eyes and lungs is way better than nothing. A full-face respirator is better than a half-face respirator because it protects your eyes from tear gas and pepper spray and you can even put it on over glasses and benefit from some protection.

surgical masks, N95 masks, and bandanas are all really subpar protection against tear gas because they aren't really designed to protect against that kind of thing. Sometimes I see people recommend a bandana soaked in water or vinegar, but using that to protect you against tear gas is a really miserable experience. It makes it hard to breathe, and it still doesn't protect your lungs very well. surgical masks and N95 masks actually work even worse when they're wet, which can happen often at a protest because of sweat, rain, or condensation from your own breath, and even at peak effectiveness they are not great.

As for eye protection, if you don't wear glasses you might be OK with a really good pair of airtight goggles, but if you do wear glasses you basically need to get a full face mask. Don't wear contact lenses if you think you might get exposed to tear gas or pepper spray.

The issue of trans women being sent to men's prisons isn't brought up as being a monstrous thing because of the misgendering, it's monstrous because we're sent there to be legally sex trafficked.

That's what V-coding is. That is why they are so adamant about sending trans women to men's prisons, because sex trafficking trans women within the men's prison system is an essential part of that system. Being misgendered by this isn't even an issue that's on our radar!

holy shit, to say it "keeps the violence rate down", when these women are being violently raped. aka they dont count it because they dont care when it happens to trans women.

I think a lot of transmisogyny stems from this idea that people are really scared to see a dick. The reason bathrooms and locker rooms and hot springs keep being flash points is because these are all places where if a trans woman is using them, it's possible you might see her dick. A lot of transmisogynistic humor revolves around being traumatized because the subject saw a woman with a penis. And look, to a certain extent I sympathize. I'm not a fan of dick; I dont want this thing either. But if you want to be an ally to trans women, I think a big important step you can take personally is to examine your own reaction to the scenarios I described above, and recognize that a dick is just a body part a girl has sometimes. Seeing it as inherently sexual and/or traumatizing is a major wedge conservatives use to justify their rhetoric
