But frankly, if you're the type to abandon your friends and family and don't want to bother actually FIGHTING for what you believe in and just abandon the rest of the country to those that are willing to take it? While I'm speaking about passive aggressive behavior, when is this side going to grow a pair and go on the defensive? I am so sick of you Democrats having to be the "nice" guys. Seriously. And most of all, stop allowing them to malign words in the English language that shouldn't have a negative connotation with them. You already let them have "liberal" back in the 90s. So, now you're letting them brand you with "elite" like that's some kind of negative. First of all, we've seen where having Joe Schmo leading us has gotten us over the last 8 years. I WANT an elitist in office. I WANT somebody "better" than me to lead. Second of all, that Joe Schmo in office? By their definition is just as much as an elitist as you are. He went to an Ivy league school. He came from a family of wealth and privilege. They are NOT every man. Don't let them get away with passing themselves off as such. Stop allowing them to pass themselves off as some idealized image and make them fight you on the same ground you stand where they actually are.
