i have photos to post. i haven't posted here in awhile, mostly because no one uses DW and i have another journal where I am posting photos atm. maybe i'll come back here. mostly posting this up here to share with people who aren't on lj :)
not sure my body's done fucking me around. i felt fine yesterday, enough so that i went to the beach with my cousin timmy (kenny wanted to sulk in his room, long story) and we bought jones soda because it's colorful and sat in the sand talking about plastic dinosaurs, my drunk mother, and how we wished we had plastic buckets and shovels so we could make sandcastles.
i buried my jones' bottle and timmy said it looked like a secret message. the bottle said 'peace'. the beach was quiet, water was beautiful. i said it really did have a message and we kind of smiled. i did a few cartwheels to amuse him and somehow came home with sand down the back of my shirt, in my pants and in my socks. we also went into this antique store and i saw a beatles album that made me think of john c., and a shirt that made me think of mike. i left there rather quickly.
we tried getting into the beach houses that belong to the rich but the password we used to know didn't work on the keypad and i wasn't up to climbing the fence. found spiders that were the size of a dollar and we visited this woman's gallery. i love her work, and i miss my moleskine.
SEGMENT I. CRYSTAL BEACH

I'll leave this to your imagination.

Part of the beach strip, open year 'round, mostly.

Timmy, being trouble and trying to get into the rich-beach houses.
We used to know the password, at least.

This never gets old.

The 'private' beach houses and 'private' beach.

Timmy.

Myself (oh no shit)

Peace.

This has been there since I lived here... 12 years or more.

What the streets look like, once you're heading into
where cottages and year-round housing is.

I remember seven years ago I wanted to buy this car.. it's still there.

mid-town.

hello, thar.

the disgusting, abundance of spiders. it's common to see 8
or so in a single web. no idea what type they are.
see a zoomed version here

one thing i've always loved: how brightly-colored it is here.

the gallery we took a look in.

and her sign out front.

more spiders.

color everywhere. i seriously would've spent the
day painting this entire area if i could've.

SEGMENT II. FAMILY.

hasty photo of the food since i forgot to before we started digging in.

kenny wanted a 'cool' photo, i made him pose on my uncle's caddy.

kenny, sandy (aunt), timmy, in front of the townhouse i lived in with them.

most accurate family photo ever.

l-r: kenny, chris (yes, that uncle), uncle johnny, myself,
grandma (one who was in the hospital last may),
the drunkmum, and timmy in front. can you tell i hate posed photos? XD

kenny, myself and timmy. accurate.
