World of Warcraft paranoia memes go!

Write 10 (or 12, or 20, or however many) statements intended to different people.
- Never tell which one is to who. (but if you guess I might tell you)

Did Ulduar 25 tonight for I think the first time since the first week it came out. Do not like being so low on the healing meters, despite knowing that healing meters don't really count for much and Disc numbers are strongly skewed due to shield absorption not being taken into account; still, have pride to consider! *coughs* I did top the meters on dispels, which again doesn't really count for much, except for the fact that the healer focusing on dispels on Hodir for some reason didn't get a single one off, and it's pretty imperative that everyone is mobile on that fight. It was good practice, really -- I'm fine on single target dispels (go PvP), but I'm always always just a bit slow on Mass Dispel, so need to work on that. Not that it's usually worth the mana drain nowadays, what with the (@*#ing resists on pally bubbles and Inner Focus saved for Divine Hymn, but no reason to remain bad at it.

Speaking of PvP, Holy Pally/Death Knight is still incredibly overpowered, at least against Priest/Rogue. Desecration = cheapest skill in the game, grrr.

I think I must start actively working on something again: either PvP, Shadow spec or Lock DPS (poor eternally lvl 70 Zouyu!), or maybe start tanking on Eponine. Don't really like the way so many of the female players I know are healers, and so few are tanks.

Managed a brief run with a bunch of Ulduar n00bs, even after our MT and other healer umm pretty much quit on us for good (can't really blame them). It actually went pretty well, all considered.

Now if I can get people to stop sniping at each other to their faces/behind their backs, that would be swell. (Btw, bitching about someone to their significant other who plays right next to them? NOT REALLY BEHIND THEIR BACKS. And not a good idea either way.)

HERDING CATS, seriously.

Which gods do I need to sacrifice to to get 10 people online, on time, 3 nights a week for Ulduar 10 every week??? Resorted to begging Kazoo to clone himself last night. (Friend, awesome Resto Shammie who has given up WoW for RL. /shakefist)

Having to go through the '1 person signs on, 1 logs off' routine every single night is getting extremely old.

Passing through the 'WoW drama not worth the trouble' phase again, I think. Need new obsession!

In other news: finished Persona 4, planning to borrow Suikoden V from [personal profile] sub_divided, pre-ordered The Sims 3, whiling away the time with SimSocial, and eyeing Dawn of Discovery. And of course there's always the Miles Edgeworth spinoff and Dragon Age: Origins to look forward to at the end of the year.

In other other news, finished China Mieville's Bas Lag trilogy. Preference is still in order read -- The Scar > Perdido Street Station > Iron Council (which is, god, such a depressing book).

-- Also, the bastard(s) who keep invading our parking space have so got to STOP DOING THAT.

So, on my first Mimiron attempt ever, I:

1) Healed it with a Resto Shammie in mostly level 70 gear as the other dedicated healer (awesome player, though), and

2) Healed it in my PvP spec.

Just noticed today as I went off to the trainer to re-do spec -- tried to switch to the PvP spec, then realized that I WAS ALREADY IN IT.

We did consistently reach Phase 4, though (and then people would die to rockets or Laser Barrage, cough). Gearing up the shammie tonight, so he will be in better gear next time, hopefully, AND I WILL BE PVE-SPECCED, gah.

Semester finally over! Getting back into gaming with a vengeance.

Currently, really really wtb a reliable healing partner for Ulduar 10. All our other dedicated healers have either left the guild or are on a break -- every single one. We've managed so far with people going off-spec, but Mimiron to Yogg is probably going to be quite a bit harder. The raid healing on Mimiron worries me especially; I certainly can't handle it on my own as Disc.

So my guild kind of imploded; fortunately(?), have been too busy with classes and [livejournal.com profile] absenceofmind's visit to be too deeply affected by it, but am wondering where to go from here. Will probably stay with the guild until there's no guild to stay for, but I do want to raid, and sigh, there's no way to get Val'anyr without raiding Ulduar 25.

Not particularly worried about having nowhere to go -- healers are always a valuable commodity, I'm v. good when it comes to attendance, and I do not think my personality is objectionable -- but I don't want to join one of the big raiding guilds. I don't like raiding with assholes, and those guilds do seem to draw assholes. Honestly, just don't want another guild; was pretty unhappy when Lighter Thieves split, and now that I'm fond of most of the people in Vae Victis, I don't want to let them go either.

I wouldn't mind just sticking to 10-mans, but woe, WTB Val'anyr! Have never gotten a legendary weapon before -- have never been in the position to get one. Sigh.
